Letters From The Big Man Portrays Sasquatch As A Supernatural Being Who Controls Human Emotions

There are only two films I can think of that portray sasquatch as a peaceful creature. Harry and the Hendersons and the newest BF film: Letters From The Big Man. The rest are mostly cheap horrors with sub-par costumes and acting.

About the latter film...

Yesterday I received my pre-ordered copy of a very new film (not available to the general public just yet) of Letters From The Big Man. The movie was very beautiful and peaceful. It was unique and wonderful in a special way. Worry not, I won't give spoilers about the plot. I'm just discussing one aspect of the mysterious sasquatch in the film...

This movie had an EXTREMELY unique take on what Bigfoot is and what he can do. He is a creature more intelligent than humans (or assumed to be) who can travel through dimensions at will and he also has great and supernatural powers. He can control human emotions in the sense that he can choose to cause extreme fear/panic in people or on the flipside, he can choose to make them feel very calm and relaxed.

I found that very interesting and wonder if anyone believes that the REAL sasquatch, if he exists, is capable of such incredible powers?

Infrasound may account for the effect of creating either panic or calmness. I'm looking right now to find the link to an article I read about this, in which an experiment was done with infrasound. The results of the study noted that if a person was in a positive mental state then infrasound would increase the emotional state toward a feeling of wellbeing or joyfulness, while if a person was in a negative mental state then infrasound would increase the emotional state toward fear or panic.

Infrasound IMHO is likely the best explanation for many of the "high strangeness" reports of contact with BF. It may very well be that they are extremely intelligent and in many ways are more intelligent than humans (see other threads regarding perception especially). I'm not ready to follow the whole interdimensional thing, that would require some extraordinary proof.

gigantor - I got it yesterday along with a VERY thoughtful letter from the director. He thanked me greatly for being a backer of the DVD and apologized for the delay. Hopefully yours will come soon too. It's a very intriguing movie

It inspired me so much I had to make this post. And the documentary that comes with the DVD is equally as inspiring. It contains many different opinions from people from different walks of life. It's one of those movies that by the end, you start to question your humanity, perceptions, and the world around you. Very good film.

Considering that the film can make you question your humanity, perceptions, and the world around you, try to imagine how it would be to have some of these beings constantly around you. Imagine being treated to these talents on a daily basis, & learning that the idea of reality, currently held by most of the world is nothing but hogwash.

Sounds like a very factual film. I'd like to see it.

We enjoyed it the other night and it was suprising how many Sasquatch behaviors are represented in the film, touching on nearly all aspects including the fringe ones but I thought it didnt force a paranormal aspect much but just included it with the normal stuff.

The movie sounds good. The Sasquatch looks good. The interdimensional aspect is a little much for me but no one can deny that there isn't some high strangeness associated with these creatures that keeps me guessing.

I don't think it's meant to be credible, from what I know. It's not intended as a bigfoot documentary or anything like that. I don't know enough about it though to expound on that, perhaps someone else can.
