Letters From The Big Man Portrays Sasquatch As A Supernatural Being Who Controls Human Emotions

I finally got my copy last Friday and watched it that night. I did not like it at all, even turned it off but that was probably due to my choice of beverages that evening: vodka tonics. I'm afraid it made me a bit surly not to mention gave me a horrible hangover the next morning. I gave it another try on Saturday afternoon, wholeheartedly sober and enjoyed many aspects of the film.... The cinematography was breathtaking.

I am one who believes they are strictly flesh and blood BUT, but...but, have some extraordinary brain capacity, much like some humans do. I do believe in the infrasound (because I think I've been subjected to it) and their ability at extreme stealth. All 3 of my encounters have involved one or the other - the first was unbelievable stealth, the other two both stealth and infrasound. It was quite amazing, even though I felt as though I would throw up or pass out and had to leave the area, surely under observation. And, I know people who can make others incredibily uncomfortable to the point of distress with an intense and prolonged stare but to a much, much lesser degree. Maybe it was a mind-Houdini out there with me.

It was only after I was *safe* that I could revel in what had likely occurred. On my first encounter I was with someone...the other two, in remote areas by myself. One other incident - a rock throw - I did not feel anything at all but still left right away as it was likely a warning.

As far as the mind-speak and ability to shape-shift...um, no. Show me the science on how they could do that.

MO - nice to see you floating around! (Sorry, pun intended but no offense! ;) )

:D ... no problem, I thought the juxtaposition of your story and your avatar was pretty funny :D

Have you posted your sighting reports on this forum or elsewhere? I'd like to have a read.

It was/is quite fitting. Dang vodka anyway...hot summer night...they go down too smoothly.

I have posted some of my experiences - I've not had the luck of a visual yet (but I'm working on it). I will PM you.

There are only two films I can think of that portray sasquatch as a peaceful creature. Harry and the Hendersons and the newest BF film: Letters From The Big Man. The rest are mostly cheap horrors with sub-par costumes and acting.

About the latter film...

Yesterday I received my pre-ordered copy of a very new film (not available to the general public just yet) of Letters From The Big Man. The movie was very beautiful and peaceful. It was unique and wonderful in a special way. Worry not, I won't give spoilers about the plot. I'm just discussing one aspect of the mysterious sasquatch in the film...

This movie had an EXTREMELY unique take on what Bigfoot is and what he can do. He is a creature more intelligent than humans (or assumed to be) who can travel through dimensions at will and he also has great and supernatural powers. He can control human emotions in the sense that he can choose to cause extreme fear/panic in people or on the flipside, he can choose to make them feel very calm and relaxed.

I found that very interesting and wonder if anyone believes that the REAL sasquatch, if he exists, is capable of such incredible powers?

I think it's bull manure myself.

(Obviously infrasound is a scientific fact which can cause behavior reactions by other animals to it.)

But to make matters worse I feel it's this type of discussion that drives average people further away from any real scientific inquiry into this subject. In other words........it's great to have books about unicorns, orges and pixies, because they are "mythological creatures" that belong to fantasy land. But if your writing books about them while trying to sell the public that they are real, or worse yet....the scientific community?

Then that is another matter all together.

Thanks for the offer but I think I'll hang on to it. The story's not bad and the film itself is beautifully shot. And, the "Big Man" and his behaviors are interesting (sans the para-stuff). The "documentary" contained in the Extras is quite amusing.

I think if you look online soon, you'll probably see some used copies for sale. Get one and watch it with vodka. ^_^

@ norseman - watch it before you knock it. It's done in a very tasteful way.

I appreciate your sentiments but I'm not much of a fiction fan myself.

Was able to watch this last night after some searching.

It available for rent thru a redirect from youtube trailer.

Its also on netflix cananada but not US yet.

Well done film all in all. Its psuedo slow story. Obviously ITS NOT at all meant as a documentary but its a good take on sqautch.

Great scenery and whomever did the costumes and BF scenes took time to do it right.

Absolutely worth the rental or purchase.
