Guest tirademan Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Contrary to popular myth, the Winstead Connecticut flap from 1895 was NOT an invention of a writer. There was a writer who took advantage of the situation to create some fame for himself, but reports were coming from there 3 years before his claimed invention of such. Here's an example of one of the stories from that incident. I have about 15 concerning it, including the writer's claim. tirademan
