Guest
The ones that really stood out for me was when he said that Squatches can "zap" their prey from a distance with something that feels like an electrical shock (29 July). I've heard people talk of infra-sound before but this was the first time I ever heard of "zapping". I've been fear zapped. It seemed pretty darn real to me regardless of how "far out" it sounds. Groveling on the floor of your van in abject fear for 10 minutes because of a thump in the woods is not something I just do regularly, lol. Guest wudewasa
kit, The look on Ranae's face is priceless. It's like she's thinking, "Seriously, he thinks that he will find bigfoot with a bunch of unskilled people and a handful of zagnut bars?!"
Guest
Fear zapped? That is nothing to do with the animal and everything to do with your brain. When presented with a totally out of the ordinary experience, sometimes the brain goes into thought shock of sorts. It is fear from the mind that causes your brain to dump adrenaline, that is nitro boost to your system. Then the fear from your mind freezes your muscles with rigid tension. The straining locked tensed up muscle and the adrenaline are the zap effect. It leaves a person unable to move, speak and even think clearly! . We called it combat fatigue or shell shock in the Corps. It would be a very believable reaction to facing down a sasquatch. I am brave to my own detriment in most things. Sasquatch has made me run like a coward lol! Well to be honest it sounded like at least 3 of them vocalizing loudly at me and my girlfriend. It was their way of saying move along *******! Guest
Does anyone else follow Moneymaker on twitter? He makes some pretty far out claims. I always quote him back and ask for his references for his claims....think Im starting to annoy him lol Most people I know think everything about Bigfoot is a far out claim. That's why I come here to talk about it.
Guest
Is it right for us as Bigfooters to trash the man? I understand his persona of frustration mixed with enthusiasm. He came face to face with a Sasquatch and has people trying to ridicule him all the time for something he knows is real. Don't be jealous of a man that has done so much for "Finding Bigfoot"! Guest wudewasa
Kerry, He claims that he had an encounter with a bigfoot. I'm not jealous of him at all, but feel sorry for the cast and crew that have to put up with his erratic and egotistical behavior. I'd actually go back to watching the show if he was removed as a member of the investigation team. His comments about bigfoot avoiding cows, touting a deer skeleton as bigfoot prey and chasing after an unknown bipedal figure through the forest at night are recurring acts of silliness. There is no science on the show, it is strictly entertainment. MM did start the BFRO and spearhead a clearinghouse of reports, but now represents the realm of squatchery with a comical, fantastic set of claims with no concrete evidence to support his beliefs. Am I bashing the guy or simply discussing his actions and behaviors? Readers can judge for themselves.
Guest thermalman
pretty much sums MM up wude. Kerry, what MM has done for FB for me is........I won't watch the show now, because of him, after initially anticipating more of a science related program. Nothing to be jealous about being MM (mental midget) in my opinion. Edited September 29, 2012 by thermalman
Guest
I have never met MM, but having watched FB on Youtube, following his tweets, and reading what others, both here and on the BFRO website say about him, my impression of him is that he's very passionate about what he does. Almost to a fault. It seems to me that he follows Bigfoot with an almost religious fervor, and that it's like an obsession for him. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but I can see how it puts people off. I've read almost 80% of the public BFRO database (that's a helluva lotta reports), and read and listened to some of his claims. No matter how off the wall some of them seem, it's my opinion that there is some basis to most of those claims. I would say that before ridiculing what mm has to say, go and read what is in the FB thread on the BFRO. A lot of what people are dissing him for has been discussed there, as well as his and the rest of the crew's frustrations (especially in season one) at the producers. For example, he explains that what he sees on the thermal of a figure on the hill, is not a squatch, but a human, and he chases after the person. The producers, however, cut that part out. On here, people were slamming him left, right and center, without even researching what he and the crew said happened, just because of their own personal dislike for the man. Personally, I don't think that's very fair. I realize and understand that some people have had ... shall we say ... less than stellar experiences with Matt. However, I've never met him, as I said. I read what they have to say, and take note of it, but I for one will never judge somebody until I have met them, and made up my own mind about them. Guest
Guys, You can't deny the man has done more to find Bigfoot than anyone else. His organization the BFRO has professional, well educated investigators. I know because I've recently become friends with a couple of them. Guest wudewasa
Kerry, The investigators are now what makes the BFRO, Matt Pruitt, Bart Cutino, Stan Courtney, etc. MM is the founder and head of the BFRO, a figurehead that has used his position as a marketing tool for a television career, nothing more. He threw the ball into the game, and the rest of the BFRO members have picked it up and are running with it. MM's opinions are his alone, and do not necessarily reflect the perspectives of other BFRO members. In the past, dissent within the BFRO usually led to the excommunication of those who questioned the Great and Powerful Oz. I have no idea if this management style is still being practiced in the BFRO. Hopefully the guy will keep on touting his unsupported beliefs about bigfoot, as such material is excellent for satirical humor. Guest
The majority of Bigfooters will tell you the best evidence is the credible witnesses. MM concentrates and organizes his efforts in these areas no matter where they're located. We have watched him ride into Bluff creek to investigate Bob Gimlin. Can you name anyone else that has done this? If MM don't find Bigfoot it will not be found.
Guest wudewasa
Kerry, MM supposedly believed that the Sonoma bigfoot video was real, when it was a purported hoax that Penn and Teller used to promote one of their television shows. I'd like to post the video of the episode, but certain language and name calling would violate BFF terms of service. I believe Penn and Teller's side of the story, and think it's a black eye that MM hopes will fade in time, but once again shows that everything isn't a squatch Here is a cryptomundo link about the entire train wreck, and in all fairness, MM's perspective on the matter. http://www.cryptomundo.com/cryptozoo-news/sononomafake/
