Something RD said in the FB/FB comments gives me an indication as what is going to transpireRD said-" there's no flood gate of cash till the body is sold!". How long before the "body" is sold before anyone can see it.Nice way to give a plausable end.Well played,RD.Well played... :-)

To Jacki and Violet - I just want to publicly say, I have never looked down on either of you for your opinions. You have every right to your beliefs. My only goal is to make everyone that contributes to the thread actually think about it in an open way.

As to freedom of speech.. It's often only interpreted half way. There's also consequences for that speech. I can lie, but i have to expect people to call me on it. I can make a racial slur, but can expect to be lambasted for it. Nothing you've said has been worth lambasted, so don't think I was accusing lol, I just wanted to explain that freedoms don't have freedom from reaction.

All Minnow has to do is say the word and this whole thing is exposed, the supposed hoax has a very fragile foundation for RD to rest it on. It has been months with no leaks...just sayin'...

And if Minnow included hoaxers in their profile of these men? The hoax isn't part of the documentary. Just how it was created. They have no liability here. They included Biscardi and Dyer. You think Morgan didn't research them? That's even more incredulous considering his record and credibility in the industry.

I too, have never looked down on Violet nor Jacki for their beliefs in this. As a matter of fact, you gals have presented some interesting ideas that did allow me to think about things more openly. I'm still not convinced.

There is very little means by which Matthews could do a thorough and commendable documentary of this content without including hoaxers.

@njjohn-Of course Mathews researched them and went out with one of them for about a week of hoaxing in Texas.

It all makes sense now.

Maybe it is not all so black and white, Mathews searches for the unexpected and the depths and possibities in his movies. Maybe this whole thing is more complex than any of us can guess.

I just had a thought. I was not a 'footer' during 2008 and so therefore didnt experience the whole charade of the 2008 Dyer/Whitton hoax. Back at that time, in the run up to the viewing/s, what was the discussion then? Was everyone in the BF community completely bought on the story or was there still a section that thought maybe it was all a hoax?

What I am trying to find out is, with this story, is this the first time people have been really scared of a hoax being created, or is this just another of many similar experiences?

You can count on it!

The path leads home! To one person!

this is all part of RD's master plan to make footers into a bunch of gullible people that will believe anything that pertains to bigfoot. Minnow films

documentary is going to be about how obsessed some people are about bigfoot.

A person's personality dictates on how they handle most situations, RD's personality would not let him stay silent through all this.

If RD shot A bigfoot, do you actually think he would hand it over to anyone ? He would strap it on his burned out camper, and drive it right to Moneymaker's house, and would be gloating on how he is the best bigfoot tracker in the world.

Violet and Jaqui can believe whatever they want and, to be perfectly frank, their belief has some merit. The argument/ debate on this thread has very little to do with a Bigfoot being shot in San Antonio on 9/06/12.

What has thrown a wrench into the works is the name, Rick Dyer. This thread is about RD, his past hoaxes and possible future hoaxes. The dead Bigfoot is a minor detail in all of this. If, for example, we substituted Rick Dyer's name with John Smith, the debate would be about the details and possibilities of the incident itself.

To be fair, we discussed this earlier in this thread but the past 40 plus pages have been dedicated to Rick Dyer's character or lack of.

This shooting is plausible, if you happen to believe in Bigfoot, but anything that's associated with Rick Dyer is immediately tainted and deservedly so. Violet and Jaqui are choosing to look at the story itself and not the personalities.

Since 2008, Rick Dyer has made a career from the beliefs, hopes and dreams of Bigfoot believers. This can't be disputed in any way as he's left a wide trail of hoaxed videos, photos and claims. I have no idea if he believes in Bigfoot or not. What I do know is that he believes that we believe and that's given him all the knowledge he needs to gain our attention and turn that into profit. He is a profiteer that's focused his attention on our desire to prove Bigfoot exists, once and for all.

He's no different than anybody that uses people's faith for personal gain. Is it right, ethical or moral? Of course it's not but he obviously does not care.

So, could he have shot a Bigfoot in September of last year? Yes

If you just focus on that aspect of this whole story then there's some hope to be had.

However, RD's past, in addition to even his most recent behavior, demonstrates a man that is willing to stoop to the lowest levels to get what he wants the most; attention and recognition.

The sad fact is this; RD has yet to accept and recognize that, regardless of whatever he achieves in Bigfoot research, he will never have respect.

He can always get our attention but he will never have our admiration.

I think Dyer and Biscardi were chosen by Minnow not because they have created hoaxes, but because of their interesting and controversial backgrounds which are in stark comparison to the straight up characters such as Adam Davies. But also, Dyer has proved over the last few years to be a serious tracker too. I think they will show Dyers paranoia and hate of the BF community which they will portray as sad but also thought provoking. I really dont think they would be so insensitive and crass to encourage and watch him plan a hoax. No sorry that just wont happen. That is the kind of thing they do for TV shows with canned laughter and prizes.

Violet and Jacki, I'm curious to know what you think of the exchange this morning on FBFB. We have RD who posted the prostitution thing, and we have Musky defending him. Read Jimmy Conway's comments too. Do you feel that lady had it coming? Do you think RD is just a harmless jokester? Do you still feel Musky is impartial? I'm curious.

Can you give a link, i tried to find it and got lost in blobsquatches. ha!

When I heard that someone had caught a bigfoot, it was like Christmas morning. I was gullable and bright eyed in those days ( still am to some extinct )

So as the days progressed and I finally learned it was a hoax, it was like someone took all the presents from under my tree! lol

Seriously, though. It was a big let down.
