Guest Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 For friends and relatives of tirademan, please accept my heartfelt condolences. I knew him as a class act who was a font of historical information.
Guest DWA Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 (edited) When a true laborer in this vineyard passes, a library burns down. Grateful he put so much up for us before he left. In 1871, an editorialist for the New York Times asked the country at large whether the "wildman" should be "investigated" or, if not, "suppressed." I suspect an interesting conversation, between two very interested parties, is going on right about now. Or maybe they just both know now, and are laughing about it over a beer. (If heaven doesn't have beer, I am not sure it's heaven.) Don't rest, tirademan. Well, do admire the view as many opportunities as you get, and create as many as you can. That said: Soldier on.
