I haven't looked into that one personally yet. However, with the similarities (and a certain JRef'er claiming to know who hoaxed it), I think a revisit of that scenario is warranted.

I'll see if I can't resurrect a thread about it.

The Elbe shoreline was not as tracked up as people here think. I counted at least three different individuals and a dog. The shore there would not support fishing, they would sink in the muck. There is no hunting there. Photographers would keep their distance from the water where the soil was soft and wet. Also... The burger joint is not the fame claim of Elbe... It is the Copper Kettle.

I wish at least one of the researchers, early or later, would show where they posted a picture showing the proximity to town WITH or BEFORE the pictures they posted while documenting the tracks.

Great job Matt on exposing him! If only these really stupid people would direct this effort towards serious, objective field research....
