Urban Bigfoot, Seriously?

Lake County Bigfooot

Recommended Posts

Sunflower, I echo the lament of the loss of deer, even though many trees in our yard were girdled last winter do to heavy snow.  The deer were in good condition in June and simply are absent.  The coyotes were very quiet for a time as well, but they are back to their wild ways, in fact my neighbor and his small dog were surrounded two nights ago, and he scared them off beating the air with a stick, and banging it against some objects.  I wanted to tell him, " hey look at the bright side, sasquatch will eat them barking morsels right up", but he was not in the mood.  Besides, when I asked him if he has had any weird experiences with anything like them, he acted like I was a bit loony.  Well that's a surprise.  I drive a circle around my marsh almost nightly, as if to force them to acknowledge my effort, which they spurn.  I realize that some have spent their whole life researching the creature, coming within yards of them, yet never see one.  Such was the case with Rene Dahinden, and thus far is the case with Cliff Barackman.  Thanks to all who do not let the difficulty of the situation deter them.

Oh yeah, nothing oozes "calm" like:

in·cor·ri·gi·ble

adj.

1. Incapable of being corrected or reformed: an incorrigible criminal.
2. Firmly rooted; ineradicable: incorrigible faults.
3. Difficult or impossible to control or manage: an incorrigible, spoiled child.
n.
One that cannot be corrected or reformed.

You have to admit Inc1, that is pretty funny. :)

Once you get to know him though, he's easy to convince. :)

Cook County has had some sightings, Google Earth bachelors grove forest preserve, and notice how when you zoom in from space that this area is the greenest thing for large distances. Those southern preserves are dense and connect by power lines and strips of open space and golf course. I doubt they could have survived in the other cut off forest preserves like Busse Woods, but some of the Des Plaines river greenway hits the northern forest preserves, and I expect a sighting from that area eventually.

The greenway north and west of Barrington to Algonquin, and now spreading north into the newly preserved lands of lake county serve as another possible hot spot. The sighting off of Cuba road borders deer grove and Cuba marsh, borders deer grove.

Oh, no. I'm one of those "meany head skeptics." At least that's the way I'm being portrayed by the butt hurt habituators.

You may want to take a closer look at your (personal) definition of an inductive argument.

(Hint: It's circular)

Therefore it leads nowhere. In other words,  you're chasing your tail.

It means just as I stated. It's only circular because it's based on probabilities and what is known rather than absolute proof. There is a margin of uncertainty.

It's definitely not what you intended it to mean in your previous posts.

Why would you want to discuss other forms of evidence for something which you have REPEATEDLY stated does not exist?

Why would that make it difficult for you to move on?

You're absolutely positive that BF doesn't exist. So why do you care if someone else reaches a different conclusion than you have reached regarding the witness report data?

Now we're getting somewhere.

"Tell me about your childhood."

Hit the nail on the head there!

Yet there is no proof of alien's, but they still, after 56 years of SEtI continue to fund it . okay, lol. while there are scientist in relevent fields who do believe in bigfoot and can't get funding. You won't address the point that they are still being funded after 56 years of nothing.

Meldrum gets funding for Bigfoot research, that's how Bill Munns' was able to fund his report.

I don't know if anyone else has ever tried to get funding.

FYI- Mr. Incorrigible one.

I'm not a habituator and my butt doesn't hurt.

It's just seeing the word "calm", used by someone named "Incorrigible1",  accompanied by the visage of Hedley Lamarr, was just too much to pass up.

Morning guys, hope you slept well, or at least slept. I have some reading to do, just got a Tascam recorder and need to know how to set it up for long term recording. I need an ear in the night. Hope it can actually pick up the sounds without to much white noise. Maybe I will have some recordings I can post down the road,

besides that I would like to introduce the idea of studying certain sightings from the BRFO that border urban areas, and for this community to comment on the possibility of the sighting being legitimate, and if so, how a Squatch could move into such an area. Please feel free to introduce your own sightings as well, but they need to be geographically identifiable so we can Google Earth the area to see it's potential. I think this will help everyone see the possibilities of these creatures, and make the thread a bit more focused and interesting.

I know a guy in the BFRO whose job is to do field research. He is funded to look for BF! When you get paid for something you love doing, then it's not really work..

Report # 28728 (Class A)

Submitted by witness on Wednesday, January 19, 2011.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Daylight sighting by a motorist near Brookfield Zoo

YEAR: 2010

SEASON: Fall

MONTH: November

DATE: 16

STATE: Illinois

COUNTY: Cook County

LOCATION DETAILS: I was headed north on 1st Avenue (IL - 171). I remember seeing the sign that said Zoo Woods. It was about a mile north of that sign, east side of the road and south of Cermak Rd.

NEAREST TOWN: Brookfield

NEAREST ROAD: S 1st Avenue

OBSERVED: I am going to be honest, before this happened, when it comes to bigfoot, I have been very skeptical, because there is not enough evidence that would make me even consider that there could be a bigfoot.

It was about 8:15 in the morning, I was just driving the car. I was on 1st Avenue, I had gotten off I - 55, I was heading over to visit my mother at her job. I was driving near Zoo Woods, which is some sort of forest area. I was driving and I was on the phone and I looked to my right and I saw something very, very tall, like between 8 and 9 foot and hairy. It was running through the woods.

I remember the sun reflecting off the outside of the fur and it gave it like an orange tint. A Golden Retriever has that color hair, make that a little darker and with a little bit more copper-tone, more red-head feel to it. I think that would be the color I am trying to describe.

I stopped in mid-traffic, I put my hazards on, I pulled over right away. I had just seen something moving through the trees, nine foot tall, orange fur, it just kind of ran through about five feet of brush. The trees were moving, I saw it. I slammed on my brakes, got out of my car, put my hazards on, I ran over to where I saw it, because I had already passed it over, passed by it. I had to run back a little bit to go in the area where I saw it.

There were broken tree branches. I couldn't see any prints, no fur, no evidence besides the broken trees. There was a terrible odor, like a musky, wet dog smell, maybe worse than that, more putrid.

It was like if you are running through the woods and you are nine feet tall and you are about ten feet into the woods before the outside of the woods stopped, that's how far into the woods it was. It had arms, it was running and it was very big.

I only told a couple of people, and then I let it go.

ALSO NOTICED: Terrible odor, like a musky, wet dog smell.

OTHER WITNESSES: None that I am aware of.

OTHER STORIES: No.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: 08:15 a.m. Clear weather.

ENVIRONMENT: Wooded.

Now do some google earth research and see if it can be connected to other sightings, say the bachelors grove area to the south, I think you will find this interesting.

The obvious geographic features are the river, the forested area, the canal, the golf course, some bike paths, all interesting stuff but I want you guys to connect the dots between this sighting and the southern forest preserve area of Cook County, could these be connected? Look at the broader picture as well, it takes some time but well worth the reward. This is how I came to terms with their ability to use these areas.

LCB, I don't think you answered my questions about your feelings on Sasquatch Ontario's evidence. You mentioned him, so I can assume you are familiar and possibly a supporter of his?

LCB,

Good work, and don't listen to the naysayers here.  They are in urban areas check your police scanner for prowler reports occasionally.

Cheers!
