Guest
Well, the Louisiana accents are done pretty good, for the most part. While the drama part is exciting and moves quickly, now they're getting into voodoo and black magic, Indian graves and dead animals hung like Christmas lights in the woods. Exactly what cryptid are they covering? All of them? Plus the paranormal? It's all over the place. They should narrow it down some, but tonight it seemed to widen out to a whole bunch of possibilities, many having nothing to do with bigfoot. Oh, and the Cagin Beasts team is supposed to be real. They even have a website: http://www.caginbeasts.com
Hammer102492
So what's real about this show, and what's not? Is the Cajun Beasts tea fake, website and all?
Guest
Speaking of new bf shows, word is Discovery is putting together a show in Canada. I have had two friends be contacted about being on the show. I have no idea the layout of the show, other than casting was calling for serious bigfoot hunters/researchers. Waiting to see how this pans out. Boris Khan
So what's real about this show, and what's not? Is the Cajun Beasts tea fake, website and all? The main story in the show is all fictionalized and dramatization story based on loupe garou/ rougarou / swamp beast legends, alleged witnesses, and input by 'experts'. Everyone in the show is an actor, the Cagin Beasts team is not a real business but a means to tell the story. The only "real" bits of this show are the 'expert' interview segments that are cut into the show. What interesting in these first episodes (3 so far) is that there are mutilations, bodies, tracks, and 'sightings' which indicate some type of swamp beast but the evidence is really just not so uncommon events like a bear missing toes, hysteria, misinterpretations - all common dismissals of evidence in other investigations (meaning those of real alleged sightings/encounters/tracks) but in the show are red herrings to develop what the story for the turn of the actual cryptid showing up making believers out of the Cagin' Beasts team. (I already had a prediction on the cryptid by the second episode I think I'm right). History Channel is not promoting this as a real event or a reality show along the lines of Finding Bigfoot or Bigfoot Bounty but merely a dramatized recreation of stories and alleged sightings. Patterson-Gimlin
I like the show. It is just television.
Guest
I have the same opinion of the Cryptid show (being discussed)....as I do about soap operas.....not good - a waste of time for me
Guest
I've been looking forward to the Les Stroud show. And one in Canada?? Great! Could this all be the same show...where Les teams up with Todd Standing for a two part episode flushing out Todd's BF family that he has been studying? Teegunn
I don't know if the stroud show has anything to do with the one in Canada - but the same thought crossed my mind that they might be the same show.

Guest dxm2
I though Standing was pretty much debunked. Is this not the case? I've been impressed with Les Stroud and his brief descriptions of what he has experienced, but I was disapointed when I heard he was working with Todd Standing. Woodslore
Am I the only one waiting for the day when some channel airs (would be awesome live) a show about Sasquatch and one runs out and beats the tar out of the host.
