Guest Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Why would a BF climb up a tree? Perhaps a juvenal BF, but a full grown BF? Midnight Owl has a neat photo of one up a 60 foot tree out in Oklahoma …
GuyInIndiana Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 (edited) Why would a BF climb up a tree? Perhaps a juvenal BF, but a full grown BF? Maybe because we don't spend a whole lot of time looking up IN the trees? Depending on the amount of leaf in the tree, they can manage a level of cover while observing OUR activity. It could be a number of us have walked right under one and have never known it. Edited March 22, 2015 by GuyInIndiana 1
Guest Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Why would a BF climb up a tree? Perhaps a juvenal BF, but a full grown BF? Suzi, when you see Midnight Owl on the board ask about Bigfoot in trees. He’s got a photo of something big way up on a tall pine. Maybe because we don't spend a whole lot of time looking up IN the trees? Depending on the amount of leaf in the tree, they can manage a level of cover while observing OUR activity. It could be a number of us have walked right under one and have never known it. I would agree with you on that point.
wiiawiwb Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 (edited) I would suggest that Guy and Trogluddite may be missing the point with respect to the silence in the woods. People report the woods going quiet BEFORE their encounter not during or after it. They are walking down a trail or in the woods and curiously note how unusually quiet the woods have become. They may get nervous initially which eventually gives way to fear. Maybe they have an encounter, maybe they don't. The adrenaline kicks in once fear begins. Noticing the silence precedes the onset of fear. Edited March 22, 2015 by wiiawiwb 1
JKH Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I don't know why I can't c & p this article, but I guess some websites don't allow it. Long story short, turkey vultures came swarming about this residence in IL at the same time a terrible odor became annoying. Homeowner insists there's a large dead animal, and involved DNR, who "might have located the root of the problem." Ha, I looked them up on a map, and I think I know the root of their problem, too. http://www.odditycentral.com/news/this-illinois-family-is-being-harassed-by-a-swarm-of-turkey-vultures.html
