dmaker Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 (edited) 2. Wonder why so many people are saying this, of all things. Analyze the reports. Note the consistencies...and ask oneself why those consistencies would add up to something other than the simple thing the people say they saw. Dismissing a report is the height of ignorance. When someone says they saw something, and there is no reason to suspect they are lying or otherwise wrong...then...wait for it...there is no reason to suspect they are lying or otherwise wrong. DWA, when you were a child, did your mother ask you stuff like " If your friends said that you should jump off a bridge, would you do it?". I bet you always answered, "Yes". Branco Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Not picking on you dmaker at all, but I would appreciate an answer to the following hypothetical questions. Under what circumstances and conditions would it require for you see a living and unimpaired BF to become totally convinced that they do in fact exist? Will science have to document and classify BF before you accept the fact of their existence?
Patterson-Gimlin Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 2.Hoaxers,liars,misidentifications ,wishful thinking. Just curious, how would you break down the percentage of each? Thank you for asking. Just a rough guess. Hoaxers 55%, Liars 15%, misidentifications 15%,10 % wishful thinking. . I left out the power of imagination. from my earlier post. 5 % Follow-up: Of the hoaxes, what would be the percentage between the party reporting the incident did the hoaxing (i.e. video, vocal recordings, tracks, etc.) and the reporting party being the victim of a hoax (i.e. they thought it real but was in fact initiated by other humans)? I do appreciate your answers! Thanks! I would say about 90% of the reporting party being involved with the hoax.
SweatyYeti Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) How do you calculate probability of a location hosting bigfoots? The number of reports? Don't forget to ask...how does kit calculate his probabilities??? One fine day...it is 1-in-a-hundred... "Within a max of about 4 states and two provinces... I think there's a maximum 1% chance that any of the sightings from those areas are true which is enough to keep me interested in claims of reliable evidence." http://bigfootforums.com/index.php/topic/49350-information-wanted-roger-patterson/page-5#entry874605 Some other fine day...(in the cesspool called JREF).....it is approx. 1-in-a-million... "I think Lloyd had a better shot (chance) with Mary than Bigfoot being real"... Edited September 7, 2015 by SweatyYeti 1
dmaker Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Uh, OK, Sweaty. No one was talking about Kit. Obsess much? 2
Bodhi Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Bohdi, Nevada is not somewhere I would put high on a list of bigfoot habitats, but I don't see why one couldn't live there in spots like these. Maybe you need to step outside that casino and look around a bit. Rockape, Step outside the casino? Really? The photos you posted are of and around mount charleston. The second one is from the Lee Canyon Ski Area. You can see one of the lifts in the lower left. Get out of the casino indeed..... Hello Bodhi,, Google the Carson Range. Beautiful high country. Hiflier, Again, the topic is where "you" do no think the animal exists. I don't think it exists anywhere but popular imagination; but if it is a real, unidentified monster I do not think it roams nevada. I'm familiar with my state, I promise. Look at the paucity of reports from the bfro map, maybe 5 reports. The monster doesn't exist in nevada even as a legend. I'll tell you all something, sasquatch is as safe as houses, the folks here can't even begin to narrow down a search area to BEGIN to look for the monster. Please, if I even go down in a plane, let dmaker define the search area rather than saisquatch, I'd like to be found q bit quicker than sasquatch. Saisquatch my reply to you wasn't disingenuous but your claim that no one can ever say an animal isn't in a particular place was ridiculous and I so I reminded you of that. Not picking on you dmaker at all, but I would appreciate an answer to the following hypothetical questions. Under what circumstances and conditions would it require for you see a living and unimpaired BF to become totally convinced that they do in fact exist? Will science have to document and classify BF before you accept the fact of their existence? OFF TOPIC - SEND HIM A PM
SweatyYeti Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Uh, OK, Sweaty. No one was talking about Kit. Obsess much? I may obsess a little over 'truthfulness'. But, don't forget to ask kit how he calculates his probabilities. 1
clubbedfoot Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) It has never been in the state of Denial...... Edited September 7, 2015 by clubbedfoot 1
Squatchy McSquatch Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 The map in Kit's first post shows a sighting point at the tip of Lake Ontario. It appears to be somewhere between Hamilton and Caledonia. Hamilton has been my hometown for 35 of my 42 years. I am fairly certain that bigfoot does not exist anywhere between Hamilton and Caledonia Happy Labour Day!!!
hiflier Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Hello Bodhi, I had already given my answer. So I'll just leave the thread.
Rockape Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 < Rockape, Step outside the casino? Really? Get out of the casino indeed...> Calm down, it was just a joke. <The photos you posted are of and around mount charleston. The second one is from the Lee Canyon Ski Area. You can see one of the lifts in the lower left.> Aren't they in Nevada? I was just pointing out there seems to be some places that do have habitat that a squatch would like. I'd think if I were a squatch I'd like those places, can't speak for the squatches though, you'll have to ask them for yourself.

I don't know of any claims of sightings in the mt charleston recreation area, the map seemed to show 1 but I'm not familiar with the report at all.
ShadowBorn Posted September 8, 2015 Moderator Posted September 8, 2015 Where You Think Bigfoot Does Not Exist? For some this creature is just a figment of imagination. For others this creature is real ,just like we are who stand on this earth that we can touch and feel. So where do you think Bigfoot does not exist? in our minds for some who have had a personal sighting. For others it is just a path to no where that have not seen with their own two eyes. So they have no understanding where or if this creature does or will exist until they have had their own encounter.
