Guest Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Anthropology when you get right down to it, is often a wild ass guess. We don't know if these creatures have features resembling another hominid from the past because we are only scratching the surface of who and what has come before us. I think that the idea of different types goes a long way towards logically explaining the differences in witness reports. I saw a video not too long ago explaining that this would be the only time in history that there was only one species of Homo walking the earth, that during much of the past there were from 2 or 3 to several others. There could be remnant populations of different branches of genus Homo. Perhaps remnant Neanderthals explain some sightings, while remnant Naledi account for others. If we entertain the idea that there may be holdouts from a assumed extinct species.....if one survived in hiding, why not others?
