Whistler
I don't think this has been typed about on here yet, and it's a very interesting read. Sources might need to be triple check, but regardless as always.. I hope y'all enjoy 40,000-year-old bracelet Cheers!

BC witness
Interesting that the Russian researchers now feel the bracelet was made by the Denisovans. The article writer got at least part of the story wrong, though; the cave was not named after the ancient people, it was named after a hermit, Denisov, who lived there decades ago, and the bones of ancients found there were named after the cave. NCBFr
There is a theory that the Denisovans are the descendants of what the Russians call Alma or Almasty. This line from the article caught my attention: "Skeletal remains show that the Denisovans were probably far more robust and powerful than modern humans, and were, until now, assumed to be a more primitive, archaic type of humans than us." Not sure how they get that from a finger bone fragment and a few teeth. The really interesting thing is that significantly more DNA was recovered from these pieces than has been found in any Neanderthal remains.
