If I were talking to you, I would say that, if you want to learn about BF, and if you understand that they can communicate with people, then you can learn about them really quickly. Just read (or listen to) people like Thomas Hughes (who had a blogtalk radio show called Sasquatch Spirit), Kewaunee Lapseritis, Jann Weiss, Alex Midnightwalker -- people like that. And go out in the woods and have your own experiences to corroborate what you've been learning. If you don't understand that the BF can communicate with people, your learning will be a lot slower.
