xspider1 Posted May 25 Posted May 25 ^ Nice story. I talked to a guy recently at a big city park here who had two basset hounds with him. He said something just happened that he had never seen before. A young doe appeared right beside his dogs and it just stayed there, not scared at all. Those dogs are bred for hunting so, they didn't really know what else to do then, and I guess the doe never got the memo! Lol 1

Not something you want people to watch you do. 17x7 Makes sense but it's also common where I'm at to put out salt for legal hunting purposes. I'd say mainly as an attractant for your nearby game-camera so you can assess the animals that frequent the area. A block works, or just bags of water-softener salt.
