.......... We have reactors now that are fail safe..........

Nothing is foolproof, and nothing can be made foolproof. It is not possible. In fact, fools are more creative in screwing things up than engineers can be in trying to make things foolproof.

The most efficient use of nuclear power is what it was originally developed for; killing millions of people in one felled swoop.

We have 747's that land themselves in bad weather. Tesla cars drop you off and park themselves. And nuclear reactors that will shut down and cool themselves when the reactor gets too hot.

Does that mean nothing will ever go wrong? No.

But compared to a bi plane or a model T!? Its fail safe by a large factor.

Farmers that hauled vegetables from Seattle to Yakima and apples back? Carried axles with them to make the trip. Ive changed tires on the side of the road..... but never an axle.

What does being "Jewish" have to do with anything?

A group that 'networks' and in this case, movie making.  Spielberg has been involved with science fiction, science fiction comedy and humanistic issues.

This thread, 'to anthropomorphize', probably should be in campfire chat or someplace else. To claim human personality in non humans is a bit of a stretch.  In the science fiction comedy movie Men in Black,  the cockroach places himself at the top of the evolutionary ladder. A very 'human' personality trait.  The cockroach wants to steal 'the Galaxy' for ultimate power. Mr cockroach places humans on the evolutionary level of pond scum. I have wondered if the persons behind the movie used the cockroach character to place humans at pond scum levels due to historical humanistic issues.
