OkieFoot Posted February 27, 2019 Moderator Share Posted February 27, 2019 This event gets overshadowed by the Bigfoot Festival in Honobia that takes place each fall. This one starts in about 10 days. It takes place near Stilwell which is in Adair County in extreme eastern OK. It's two counties above LeFlore Co. https://www.facebook.com/OklahomaBigfootSymposium https://www.travelok.com/listings/view.profile/id.21913/event.21721
Guest sasquatchstudies
I’m a musician by trade and I play at a music and craft festival in Broken Bow OK in November. Wish I could make it to one of these. I’ve been told about the Honobia area being a hot spot for activity. I was planning to arrive a few days early in November and maybe do some hiking up around there.
OkieFoot Posted March 10, 2019 Moderator Author Share Posted March 10, 2019 ^^ I can understand having a music and craft festival in Broken Bow; it's in a very scenic area of the state. You were told right about the Honobia area being a hotspot for Bigfoot activity; LeFlore Co. has by far the most BFRO reports for all of Oklahoma. In 2011 a hunter claimed to have shot a Bigfoot somewhere in the area but it escaped. Honobia does host a Bigfoot Festival every October that I have read draws over 3,000 people each year. It's to be held on Oct. 4-5 this year. This would be right down your alley; it has live music. If you ever say the name "Honobia" to someone, the locals pronounce it like "HOE-nuhbee" (accent on first syllable) and not how it looks.
