Popular Post wiiawiwb
Thanks for sharing Madison. Selecting a ghillie suit is like tying a fly in fly fishing. You must "match the hatch". The video above is in tall grass. Where I am it is dense and coniferous. No doubt a ghillie suit can make you nearly invisible. One of these days I will make one. Until then I use the ASAT Vanish Leafy Suit which slips over your existing clothes. Note in the two turkey pictures below the suit on the right looks to have more green. It doesn't. There is no green in the suit at all. Just light tan, brown, and black. The suit is the same in all 4 pictures. The light tan reflects the colors it is near. Catmandoo
The ASAT pattern is used all over the world. I learned about ASAT many years ago from a LE officer in Alaska. Many of us know LE officers that we can nickname "Mr. Glock". Mr. Glock simply said 'you have to see the camo". I stocked up on solid ramie fabric ASAT and 3D leafy cut. The leafy cut 'breathes'. I make covers for my trail cams, security cables and mounting straps. The 3D leafy cut hoods fit over trail cams. The 3D leafy cut reacts to wind so it does not have that rigid look. ASAT makes a winter version that is a little bit different. I don't have the winter version yet. I tested a sample of a HEC suit this year in the way of a head covering. The result of EMF testing: I threw it away. Many brands of camo have love-hate relationships. Some swear by it and some swear at it. Your mileage will vary. norseman Posted September 12, 2019 Admin Share Posted September 12, 2019 Atacs FG and a viper hood work very well in “green” environments. The new one from Europe is Pencott Greenzone.
