Scratchy Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 (edited) Somewhat recently a Sasquatch statue was stolen from the exterior property of a landscaping company in North Carolina. The statue is 180 pounds and 6 feet tall. It was found in the Edgemont community woods. What do you all think? The circumstances are pretty odd to be sure. There is no evidence to suggest it was anything other than two or three guys trying to steal it only to give up and leave it in the forest, but dragging a 6 foot, 180 pound statue (which happens to look like a Sasquatch) into the woods and leaving it is still a little suspicious. Perhaps it was some jokesters playing a prank? Would a Sasquatch have any reason to steal it? A toy, a curiosity? Furthermore, is this particular location known for countryside or any suitable habitat for Sasquatches? I’m not saying any which way for sure, but it was just something I found a little odd and wished to share with you all. norseman Posted November 13, 2019 Admin Posted November 13, 2019 When I was in high school some older class men cut Ronald McDonald off at the knees and stole it. The football game between our town and theirs was that Friday night. The Mayor of the rival town was not amused....
OhioSquatch Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 I wouldn't rule it out completely since they are known to steal things of interest.
BlackRockBigfoot Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 This part of the country it seems like every other business has a Bigfoot statue out front, especially in the more rural areas. I suspect that this was simply a case of someone playing a prank.
NatFoot Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 Definitely stolen by a BF, that much is obvious. OR, somebody else did it.

Scratchy Posted November 14, 2019 Author Posted November 14, 2019 I agree that it was probably pranksters, this news just stood out to me as one can never rule out the possible, however slight.
VAfooter Posted November 15, 2019 Admin Posted November 15, 2019 It seems that 23 August (the date of the crime), was a Friday. I can just imagine 3-4 guys sitting around the apartment or house playing cards after work, drinking, getting bored, and trying to think of something exciting to do. As the evening wore on and the empty beer cans piled higher, someone came up with the idea of taking BF. There was general agreement, the guys piled in the pickup, and off they went. They stored it in one of the guys garage or workshop. Then next morning after the excesses of the previous night wore off, or perhaps when the publicity was more than anticipated, they decided to get rid of BF. So at the next opportunity, they took and dumped him in the woods, all swearing never to mention this to anyone else. At least that is how I see it happening....
