Huntster Posted January 4, 2020 Share Posted January 4, 2020 I'm more afraid of heights now than bears. I can't even hunt bears from tree stands anymore. I use carefully positioned ground blinds. And three of the best regions to sleep in a tree stand because of the ridiculous density of huge brown bears (Kodiak Island, the Alaska Peninsula, and the Kamchatka Peninsula) don't have enough large trees to even do this.
