Sierra Shooting from A-Z

Derek, I don't think I've ever said I don't believe 'something' happened. What I have been trying to accomplish is clarification on some things that remain unclear, and so this is why I ask questions in a little different fashion. And BTW, even though I'm sure your NDA says you can't talk about what the DNA results are, does it prevent you from talking about 'what the results aren't'? Just as I asked you the above question that you obviously didn't understand. IOW, can you say that the results don't show they are from say - a mouse? If so then you could probably tell us they are from a coyote w/o violating any agreement. That sure would lessen your burden. But of course it could be much more restricted language and well I haven't read it.

Anyway, maybe you just don't understand how I think. I haven't been asking redundant questions unless its something that hasn't been answered. And if something hasn't been clarified which isn't part of an nda, well it does make me wonder. And if you have read the negative comments on the Youtube page of

, you should know what the predominant feeling is by most people about the issue. I've not made a single comment there either. So while I know you haven't condoned what happened nor have I ever said you did, that doesn't make the issue disappear either. It shouldn't nor should you expect it to! While around here there is a certain amount of defending going on which is fine, I know there are many more out there who aren't as willing to just accept what is said either. If I ask questions about things that haven't been covered, well I know I'm not alone in wondering. Yeah you can be short fused at times and you probably are on the defense in ways you don't even want to accept. Welcome to the spotlight. Get used to it. :)

You see, how can I not believe someone could take a shot at bigfoot? Hear me. Not only do I know two different people who have in their lifetime shot at one, but I myself have held my rifle on one. The first at less than a hundred yards back in 87 and the most recent about 5 yrs ago from a close range of 22 feet. Can I prove it? No. But because of that I know it happens. And because I have been there, I have questions that others may not feel important. I also know that had I shot 5 yrs ago that I would probably not be here today. What I didn't do is start shooting at it because I saw some monster. And so while you say you have never condoned what he did, I find it ironic that he is now a team member with the views portrayed. Nothing personal. So if you don't find my questions important or worth answering, that's your prerogative. But I have my insights as well D.

And if we have a beer, I hope you realize there is more then your own finite understanding of bigfoot. That's not to say I have all the answers either btw.

I haven't read this whole thread, I've only recently joined the forums. And the whole shooting thing is "new" to me. This may have been discussed in this thread 30 pages ago, if so please let me know. In the mean time I have a couple of questions about the description (written and the audio interview) of the scenario.

Was the adult BF in the road when they turned the bend, or off to the side?

Were the juveniles standing next to the adult? Or did they not appear until after the first shot was fired? I believe it is the latter, but I want to be sure.

It sounds like that when they stopped the truck, the hunters and the adult were ~80 yards apart initially. For a species that seems to be extremely elusive and avoids contact, does it seem odd that the adult would approach the car (that is so far away) rather than just simply run off into the woods?

a. Bigfoot in a meadow, out of the road.

b. Nope, not together; didn't appear until shot fired.

c. Seems odd, but what doesn't about the whole affair.

Thanks for the responses. IMO, other than the initial shooting (while the drive is constantly saying "don't do it"), the rest of the scenario seems quite believeable.
It was not in the road, it was off to the side. Also it was in an open area and did not approach the car.
I thought I read, or heard in the interview, that the adult was approaching the hunters waving it arms when it was shot. Edited by BackInAction

Prag, I'll say this. Justin expressed a willingness to set cameras in said area. I said great. I sent him some, 4 to be exact. Just because he's setting cameras in that area doesn't mean that we share views on life matters. I'm not, or do I feel the need to defend myself. I did not ask for the spotlight, but I have been trying to handle it to the best of my ability. I've stood behind Justins story because I believe it to be true. I have no way of knowing 100% because I was not there when it happened, and I certainly didn't pull the trigger. I didn't even know Justin when it happened. I heard the story, called the witness, urged him to go back and look for evidence, then directed him where to send what he found. Those prag are the facts, so help me God and Bigfoot. As far as dissecting the story further for you, I just don't want to. I don't like going back and forth with you especially when you come off so cynical of all the answers I've already given you. If you really want more info I suggest you go the horses mouth. Ask Justin. He pays attention to this forum and has answered countless questions here. That might be more effective for you and a better use of your time.

As far as Youtube comments on Justin's interview is concerned, it is what it is. I can't do anything about that short of contacting each one and explaining his case. That's not going to happen. Justin is his own man and I am not his handler.

I've never claimed to have a finite understanding of Bigfoot. Never claimed to know more than you, or anyone for that matter. I have a lot of theory's and ideas, and yes there are a few things I know, but this is not a competition. On my original sighting I did indeed have a fire arm in my hand, just like you, but I was 20 years old, and quite honestly I was so freaked out I forgot I was holding it. How you handled it, and how I handled it are different. How justin handled it was different too. There is no protocol on what to do when facing something that isn't even supposed to exist. Not saying what he did was right, as a matter of fact I think it was definitely the wrong choice, but I can assure you we are trying to take steps that will raise awareness so hopefully it doesn't happen again. I really don't know what else to say to you.

Again, have a good day,

DR

Hey A B, hope you're doing well too. Last mike said was, books just about done. Really close. I think he's waiting for DNA stuff before he finishes.

Just a question for you: Why does that matter, and do you believe the book and goodies should be free? If so, why?
