Arvedis Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 (edited) The best obituary I have seen for him so far: https://www.theguardian.com/science/2020/dec/18/bryan-sykes-obituary farewell, mr. bigfoot geneticist. Edited December 19, 2020 by Arvedis 1 2
Patterson-Gimlin Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Thanks for sharing that unfortunate news. Heartfelt thoughts for him and his family.
hiflier Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 RIP, Dr. Sykes. Indeed, we thank you for all that you have done and taught us.
guyzonthropus Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 A fascinating read, indeed! It makes me want to find his other published works. It does rather make me wonder if his original disbelief in cryptic hominids may have pushed his disgarding certain samples (as I recallz) but that's for a different day. His drive to make science and it's implications accessible to mainstream minds is laudable, to be sure!
