Catmandoo Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 Dept. of fin & feather makes sense. IR light can be detected with a digital camera that has had the IR cut flter removed. Not uncommon. Your cameras have to be flashing / on for video for an IR light detector to find them. What tripped your cameras to enable fin & feather to find them? Be careful out there if fin & feather are looking for poachers.
Alileelei Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 Maybe it’s a wildlife GPS collar? I couldn’t make out the wording on the side to search for possible devices. The band below the device could possibly be the belt/collar it would be attached to? We have mountain lions and bobcats where I live in Southern CA and many of them wear these monitoring collars.
