RedHawk454
I live somewhat near Bailey Colorado and I’ve been to the Sasquatch museum there once. I only went there once because of the amount of profit agents in BiGFo0Tery with their big old eyes, always scanning for money 💵 now im A believer but the older I’m getting I’m becoming lest trustful of quite a bit of people in the field. but I said hey, I’ll finally go in. This was July 2020. I talked to the owner or one of the owners and he was showing me photos on his iPhone of eye shine. Like there was a Handful of them and you could see their eye shine. There’s some space between those eyes but they all appear to be 7’+ Tall. in my opinion the photos looked legit but I asked him why he didn’t get closer and get something more definitive. He told me it’s a bad idea, especially when there’s a group of them. Now I was thinking, two years later, if you had a rly bright flashlight, couldn’t you light em up and see them run away? One reason why I was thinking that no one has done that yet, is that it’s possible they would never come back to that area? Back in October I bought a fenix flashlight that goes up to 18,000 lumens. I’ll armchair quarterback this, but it seems if I could get some actually light on them, you could document more evidence of their existence? I’m just trying to think of reasons why no one has done this.

If you try it I hope you go somewhere far from Bailey to do so (by the way, Jim Myers, owner of Sasquatch Outpost and Museum in Bailey, is the most honest and open sasquatch specialist I know. I would go to war with and for that guy any time asked).
wiiawiwb
18,000 lumens...wow! That's amazing. I try to use a very narrow beam, with almost no spill, so it doesn't illuminate the entire area. That way, when I scroll across a pond it may not alert something on the other side until the beam hits it. In order to get a narrow beam, I attached an aspheric lens (aka collimator) to my Tiablo A9. There are pictures of the narrow beam if you scroll down about 2/3rds of the wau down to a section called "Outdoor Beamshots" https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/tiablo-a9-throw-king-xr-e-r2-flood-xm-l-u2-review-aspheric-beamshots-runtimes.335491/
norseman Posted August 15, 2022 Admin Share Posted August 15, 2022 My 4 Baja Design LP 9’s produce 11,000 lumens apiece. I run them while on dirt every chance I get! Maybe I will get lucky! 1
NorthWind
Nice, Norse! I just installed a pair of Baja Designs S2's 940nm IR's on NorthWind (my Jeep). Works great with the Sionyx NV. Those were my first Baja Designs products, and I really like the quality of them. At some point, I will upgrade my four Harbor Freight cube lights, but I'll wait until those die first. probably. As to the question of chasing eye shine, my answer is a hearty "No way", especially since there are obviously more than one of them. I might light them up, but run after them? Nope. Not me. That's foolish. And, fasten your seatbelt! Edited August 15, 2022 by NorthWind

Im not saying or suggesting he’s disingenuous, the eye shine photos he had looked legit but I just want to know why no one rly approaches them. I know they can be dangerous but I would think they’d move if you shined a bright flashlight at them.

I know they can be dangerous but I would think they’d move if you shined a bright flashlight at them. My understanding is that, at least for a few of the occasions Jim observed eyeshine, as he sat quietly for over one hour the creatures generating the eyeshine moved closer. He thinks (and I agree) that if he would have tried to move closer, the creatures would have backed off - perhaps departed. I am confident that had he tried to illuminate them they would have left, perhaps eliminating the chance to ever duplicate that experience.
