VAfooter Posted August 20, 2022 Admin Posted August 20, 2022 Yeah, looks good. I do not watch BF movies for the most part, they tend to be a bit silly (OK, maybe a lot) and I do not like horror films which is what most of these devolve into. But this one looks interesting in the trailers. Interesting tactic to put a fake gun above the trail cam to keep BF from bothering it. I am guessing you could use that idea for other things as well, if it works. IMDB link: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14214614/ Directed by Scott Herriott. Kickstarter link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/squatch/unverified You can watch it on Amazon.

Interesting idea but not legal I imagine
VAfooter Posted August 20, 2022 Admin Posted August 20, 2022 Did not pick up on that, although I did see the parts about possibly sedating BF. Just did not put two and two together. Still think the fake gun idea might have some merit in certain cases.... Thanks for the clarification.
Bigcathunter Posted August 20, 2022 Posted August 20, 2022 I love that idea of tranquilizing one with ketamine. Don't kill one, tranquilize one!!
ShadowBorn Posted August 20, 2022 Moderator Posted August 20, 2022 I watched it this morning. I liked it. Not a bad movie, it might be a bit cheezie. But with good intentions. The tracker idea is a good idea. It has already been tried, but with no success. A tracker under the skin would work better, But how ethical it that. I am not sure about placing a barrel on a camera trap is a good idea though. The movie has to do with allot of speculation. One just needs to watch it, so one can make up their own judgement on it. I enjoyed since I like these types of movies. 1
ShadowBorn Posted August 21, 2022 Moderator Posted August 21, 2022 On prime amazon it cost $9.00 something to own it, and $4.00 something to rent it. But I do not think that it is free.
VAfooter Posted August 21, 2022 Admin Posted August 21, 2022 Not yet, I think eventually they go free after several months (years?), right? Probably also depends on popularity.
Huntster Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 I ended up paying $2.99 to rent. I suppose it was inevitable that I would do that, but a Dairy Queen Mini Blizzard would be a better deal..........if Blizzards were that cheap..........

I think I'm going to rent it tonight to watch .

The theme fit with the transforming beliefs/ideology of society since Harry & the Hendersons. It wasn't a comedy, but the sasquatch wasn't a slobbering, bloodthirsty killer, either. The plot involving an implanted tracking device was clever, but the rather silly intersection of the various human factions delivered the expected result of "people can and will screw everything up". At $2.99, it wasn't a loss, and it was better than watching news blips on YouTube of our crumbling world, but I would have been pretty disappointed if I had paid $4.99. 1
Annie Nore Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Thanks for the tip. Previews look interesting. I'll wait for it to end up on Tubi.
