Looking for archives of old Bigfoot newsletters

Hey all. Jeremiah from Bigfoot Society here.

I love reading those old 1970s Bigfoot newsletters when I can find them. Does anyone know where to find them on the internet or does anyone have pdf copies of any they could pass on my way. Obviously I'm not talking about the Bigfoot Times by Daniel Perez as that is a newsletter still in circulation and I am a paying member of that.

Jeremiah is a great guy.  I hope that someone on here can help him out.

NABS site has most of the Bigfoot Bulletin issues scanned and available.    Also, though Bobby Short has left us, her Bigfoot Encounters site is still available online and has links that might meet your needs.

These are from the 90's, but there are a bunch of "Track Record" newsletters at archive.com that may be worth reading through.

A bunch of "Track Record" encounters are in the John Green database, and highlighted on this forum in the John Green SSR section.

You can go to https://bigfootforums.com/forum/160-john-greens-sightings-database/ and enter the search term track.php to find them.

  • 6 months later...

When I was in JR High, around 1975-1977 or so, a friend of mine got these Bigfoot newsletters mailed to him from his uncle who lived in Oregon (I lived in New England at the time). They were typed in a typewriter font, and they came in different colors, typically a pale yellow as I recall. They were full of encounter stories, much like the modern BFRO reports. I tracked down my friend and he remembers them but lost them long ago. Neither of us can remember what the title was.  Some people on Facebook suggested it was Peter Bryne's "Bigfoot News"; but that's as far as I've gotten tracking these down.

^^^^ Speculation here, but that sounds a little like the Bigfoot Bulletin produced by George Haas.    Look on the NABS web site .. I believe David Paulides owns the rights to those now.    Try this: https://www.nabigfootsearch.com/Bigfootbulletin.html.   Could possibly be the Track Record (Ray Crowe) .. archive is available to purchase from NABS.    You might also use Bobby Short's old site, http://www.bigfootencounters.com/ , to see if she had linked to anything that looks familiar.

Best of luck!!

MIB, thanks!  Ya it was the Bigfoot Bulletin, I remember the title with the "Bigfoot Bulletin" outlines in a footprint.  I'll spend some time reading these and see if I recall any details.

^^^^ Awesome.    It was a couple or three issues of the Bigfoot Bulletin which my great grandfather had on his porch that I read cover to cover that piqued my initial interest and laid the groundwork for understanding what I later saw.   Somewhat later, maybe 10 years ago, I was part of a group which included a guy who had been the youngest member of Haas' "Bay Area Group".   It has been an interesting path and I've met some interesting folks along it.   (Sometimes it has to be "interesting" in quotes suggesting things best left not-quite-said. :))

The Track Record is definitely worth investing in, I was able to meet Ray Crowe in a BF get together in Portland, OR before he passed away,

very interesting evening and he was an early pioneer in documentation of the phenomenon for sure.

Yeah, The Track Record was very good and detailed West Coast sightings. If you can find old copies, they are well worth reading. Ray ran it on donations and subscriptions, and out of his book store in Portland. He had a lot of physical issues towards the end of his life if I remember correctly, but he still kept going as best he could.

Definitely one of the pioneers of the topic.
