danthemandmv
I'll have to check this out-the Pocomoke Forest is in my neck of the woods on Maryland's Eastern Shore . That particular forest extends northward into Sussex County , Delaware where it's called the Burnt Swamp ( LOTS of creepy/supernatural / paranormal tales associated therein ... ) As an aside , at the time of the earliest English exploration of the Delmarva Peninsula there were actually alligators in the Pocomoke Forest / Burnt Swamp as well as manatees cruising our rivers , the Atlantic coastal waters and the Chesapeake Bay .
