wiiawiwb Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 I've considered attaching my GoPro so that it continuously records what is happening behind me. At first, I tried attaching it to my backpack but I didn't like the results as there was too much movement. I'm inclined not to attach it to my hat using a GP headband as I find that distracting. It seems that better results can be achieved if it is attached to a center part of me or my backpack that is not moving as much as peripheral areas. I've read that in order to achive longer a recording time, hypersmooth (stabilization) should be turned off. So there is a tradeoff between longer recording times and stabilization. Has anyone found a way, or place, to attach it so you can record what is happening behind you yet have the video stabilized as best as possible?
Catmandoo Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 What kind of back pack do you have? Google shoulder mounts / back pack strap mounts. Recording time is a function of memory card capacity and battery life. Does your GoPro have a port for external power?
