OkieFoot Posted September 8, 2023 Moderator Share Posted September 8, 2023 This appears to be a new one from RMSO. It relates the witness' account of how he discovered six big tracks back in 2019 near where he used to live. Fortunately he measured them with a tape measure. Pics of two of the tracks, along with the backstory are in the first 2:07, and again towards the end at about 9:06. I wish there had been at least one more pic with the tape measure laying lengthwise on the track. You can tell the tracks had been made a few to several days before he discovered them. In between the pics of the tracks is a narration of the witness' sighting he had back in 1983 of something he called "huge". It's an unusual sighting. This starts about 2:10. If I understood correctly, these tracks he found in 2019 were a half mile from where he had the sighting back in 1983.

Wookie Looker
I'm brand new here but might as well jump in 2 feet first! I grew up in Southern Indiana, so right off the bat this interests me. Where I grew up though there is nothing but corn fields, but what woods we had were thick and had plenty of wildlife and water. 2 things that could support a large ape like creature. The question here would be inter-connected ways of travel. They exist, but just few and far between. It could be legit just based on these precursors. As far as the mid-tarsal break is concerned, I can definitely see it on the right foot print. As far as the left, I can understand why you would say that norseman. I don't see much of one there either. Could be the shot, could be the mud, could be another print within or it could be bunk (fake). I don't know. Either way its fun to think about a large primate existing near where I grew up! Now be gentle with me there norseman! My wife is a Viking woman so I know the propensity for orneriness!
xspider1
Those are pretty good tracks, although, I don't really see a midtarsal break either. I wonder why there are no pictures of the reported 6 print trackway? That's sort of a red flag although, I'm pretty sure those weren't made with anything like a Wallace stomper! I thought the same thing. A pic showing a lengthwise shot could have shown if the tracks were inline, although the tracks were at the edge of the woods so I don't know if that would affect taking inline steps. That's why another pic or two as you've mentioned could have been helpful. It's a little frustrating when a witness will mention several tracks, or a trackway but it seems too many times they only take pics of two or three of them. I can't think of anything limiting them in the number of pics they take. Pics of the other four tracks in this case might have told us more. On the right foot track, it looks like a wall of dirt has been pushed up right in front of the heel, which appears to be pressed in a bit deeper than the rest of the track. It's a little deeper than the middle section. The track itself does have the look of many other tracks we've seen. It's wide and the width goes the whole length of the track.
