  4. Government might be happy if people stopped visiting their property.
  5. Probably would just rather keep the status quo. They do with everything like this. I’ve never seen a government abide by its mission statement, let alone its constitution or laws.
  6. At least get a good picture.
  7. Maybe they just continue with the status quo because they can. That sounds more like government to me.
  8. Yeah it seems all the knowers are obsessed with this phenomenon but are quite content with not taking the picture. Doesn't make sense to me.
  9. They have been sighted it seems everywhere, why would they lock up an ecosystem to protect them?
  10. Thanks. I wasn't aware of that.
  11. Tonight’s guest, Bill Dodd, is an 81-year-old great-great-grandfather who spent much of his life hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. For most of his life, Bill didn't believe in Sasquatch. In fact, he used to make jokes about people who claimed to have seen them. That all changed one October morning in 2005, when he had an encounter that left him with no doubt that they exist. At the time, Bill was living in a travel trailer near the Mississippi River, just across the bridge from Memphis, Tennessee, on the Arkansas side. While driving down a gravel road on his way to work, he spotted an enormous, reddish-brown, hair-covered creature standing near an intersection. Bill stopped his truck about 60 yards from it and watched as the creature casually walked across the road before disappearing into a thicket. He estimates that it stood between 7 and 8 feet tall, with massive shoulders, unusually long arms, and a distinctive way of walking. What makes Bill's encounter particularly interesting is that it happened in broad daylight, within sight of the Memphis skyline. This wasn't a fleeting glimpse of something moving through the woods. Bill had a clear view of the creature and was able to observe several of its physical characteristics. That wasn't Bill's only unusual experience, however. Years later, while camping and fishing with his son in Mississippi, he heard a strange, unsettling howl unlike anything he'd heard during his many years outdoors. To this day, he doesn't know what made that sound. On tonight's show, Bill shares the details of his unforgettable sighting, describes the creature's appearance and behavior, and talks about other Sasquatch reports from the Mississippi River region. He also explains how seeing something he once considered impossible changed the way he looks at the world. If you've ever wondered what it would take to turn a lifelong skeptic into a firm believer, you won't want to miss tonight's episode of Bigfoot Eyewitness Radio! 19. A Florida hunter watches a dark, long-haired figure step from the trees, grab a deer, and walk away carrying it under one arm. He says he was just 30 yards away. In this episode of Bigfoot Society, Jerry describes his encounter along the Suwannee River and the large barefoot impressions he found afterward. Then, deep in Oregon’s mountains above Gold Beach, a stranded couple discovers an enormous footprint while struggling to find their way out. Finally, gold prospector Jericho shares the experiences that kept drawing him back to a wooded valley near Marcola, Oregon: a bark he could feel through his body, strange figures he believed he could see in his recordings, and signs of what he interpreted as an entire Bigfoot community. His friend kicked a soccer ball into the valley. Four days later, Jericho found it beside the road behind a tree. Who moved the ball—and what kept bringing him back? 22. You make a very good point MIB and I will try to come up with a possible answer. There is a possibility that sasquatch could be considered to be a primitive homo genus just for the sake of conversation. The Sierra Sounds indicates that it does have a language. It also could have the power of telepathy as some people have reported including myself possibly. However, it doesn't seem to possess the power to create fire which is a Homo sapien characteristic. Maybe primitive Homo genus animals don't need to create fire because it's unneeded and they survive just fine without fire. Homo erectus did not create fire but may have used fire. We might have the problem MIB spoke of which are the rights to American lands.

  28. I'm going to take another shot at this. I've been having a weird conversation off-forum and something strikes me that I think we've failed to consider. What if it is not BLM and USFS at all? And not the timber companies / mining companies? What if the hurdle is the Native American / First Nations tribes? Think about this: if bigfoot is proven to exist, bigfoot presence in North America probably predates the tribes' ancestors' arrival in North America. If BF is sentient, they would have rights even senior to the rights of the tribes. We might have to displace the tribes to return the land to bigfoot. I don't know, not claiming it is true, but since we're kicking around ideas to try to explain observations, think about how that would work out in court. And that might be why the federal agencies won't touch bigfoot with a 10 foot pole.

Spent the night deep in the Idaho woods last night about 50 miles from home. This is where I found my first possible BF sign; a tree twisted and broke over 8' above the ground. This was about 10 years ago. Today... I forgot how creepy this spot is with virtually no animal activity or sound. I had a horrible time getting a fire started and ended up having to use an old Indian trick by wrapping a paper towel around a stick and dipping it into the fuel tank of my ambulance, lol. Temperature was around freezing when I went inside to watch TV. Had some odd things happen. First was hearing something hit the side of my ambulance from the direction of the twisted tree. Very light. Maybe a pine cone? No trees that it could have fallen from and nothing on the ground. Wet and soggy ground and dusty side of the ambulance. No tracks, no scuff marks, nothing. An hour later, heard what I thought was thunder outside. Looked outside and clear sky with nothing but stars. About another hour later and my dog began growling for no apparent reason. Got the shotgun with slugs out and opened the door to scan with the weapon light. Arlo declined to go outside, so I stayed in as well. No other incidents. Woke up a few hours later and it was very cold outside and inside! Packed up camp the next morning and scouted for elk for my brother on the way back to civilization. Beautiful day and saw a lot of country, but no BF sign. I walked this moist dirt road for about two miles and found hundreds of fresh deer and elk tracks, but no BF tracks.
