I am open to be convinced but I find it very hard to believe the creatures would be aware enough to hide their tracks and hide their scat so it's not discovered specifically by humans. That is an awareness not just of their own surroundings and their impact on their environment but also of the way humans think and what we are looking at or for when we're out in the woods. I feel that's a step too far but like I say, open to be convinced ☺️
