Bears and anteaters tune into the off gassing. You don't have to worry about anteaters but bears will be interested since bee hives with honey production will have an inviting colony smell. Have you tested a 'high mount' position? Oh well, just grin and bear it. 🥁💥 He will be here all week folks! 🐻 I changed the batteries even though it’s on the solar charger….. seems to have helped. No teeth marks and no high mount position. You would get one ground shot, two horizon shots and 3 tree/sky shots. So it’s gotta be level and at the height you want it. And I bought the pole mount. (To my amazement they do sell a tree mount for a 360 camera……making it a standard trail camera.🫠) I did catch a small Moose recently.
BC witness Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Cool closeup of "Yogi" A couple of days ago, a homeowner in Mission (Where MagniAesir lives) was swatted by a black bear that he tried to chase away from his sealed garbage shed. The bear charged him, chasing him up his back porch and mauling his arm as he tried to open his door. The injuries are minor, just large scratches, but the Conservation Dept. live trapped the large female yesterday, and identified it as having been involved in other recent problems, and killed it. Two other smaller bears were also trapped, and released out in the mountains, farther from homes. 1

BC witness Posted Sunday at 05:26 PM Posted Sunday at 05:26 PM There's an area in BC between Hwy 3 and the US border, east of Manning park, where red and brown phase black bears are common. I've seen several in there over the years, including a sow and cub, both red. 1

BC witness Posted Sunday at 11:33 PM Posted Sunday at 11:33 PM I'd love to, norse, but the paperwork hassle just to get into the US to hunt, and to bring a harvested animal back into Canada would be more than I care to tackle. I haven't even renewed my passport in decades. 1
