Cisco
The description of the creatures filmed by the Erickson project is very similar to what is shown in Standing's video 4. The "unblinking eyes" and that they look like Eskimos; it's very similar. I have serious doubts but I can't argue with the descriptions from people that claim to have seen Erickson's video. Guest gershake
I'll say that for most of the distinct samples which were submitted by the Olympic Project, (all but one), there is probably no shortage of biological material to do as much testing as anyone would ever want to do in regards to DNA analysis of any type. We have been lucky enough to obtain truly unique samples. Did you guys find an arm or something... ...exciting times! - Shake

Guest jimmy simpson
Okay, so let's suppose the video that Erickson himself has been hyping out was in fact filmed by the original witnesses. If this footage is remarkable and so clear that analysis only proves it to be legitimate - what will it matter in the end who filmed it? Sure, Erickson will have lied, but if he's got the goods that's all that really matters isn't it? combined with promoting the sylvanic website????? flagged
Guest
1) Bingo! 2) Bingo! 3) DNA can be amplified (replicated) with a process known as Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). It is becoming less expensive, and is used to create more DNA samples for analysis for all sorts of issues (crimes, paternity, wildlife studies). PCR can be used to create as much DNA that is needed for a test, and multiple tests if necessary. Feel free to PM me if you need more info. Wudewasa. You seem fairly familiar with DNA typing. You don't believe an unknown animal species could be signaled out only by its DNA?
Guest jimmy simpson
According to Bindernagel, he's seen footage of a bigfoot in a video associated with this project (which IIRC was an unintentional slip of the tongue), Meldrum claimed on Coast to Coast AM that he's seen the same footage and I believe he said "If it's real then it's quite compelling" or words of that nature. Todd Standing has been in and out of the "News" for several years and to my knowledge has never come through with anything definitive. If I'm wrong about that in the future, I'll gladly eat some crow- but I don't see it happening. My opinion on Erickson's target audience is right here. The good folks that frequent this forum, the same folks that will go out and spend money buying books, documentaries and all types of Bigfoot paraphernalia. I think the general public who doesn't think about Bigfoot now, is still not going to think about Bigfoot when this documentary comes out unless Erickson puts a body in it. JMO Personally i dont know why he doesnt have a body... hes a long time big game hunter... a trophy hunter. This would be the trophy of a life time... if you can get hours of footage im sure you can kill one....
Guest jimmy simpson
I think it is important to judge this situation by what the Erickson project actually releases not by what some anonymous poster puts on the web. So far I don't see anything that screams hoax yet. This is not similar to the Biscardi nonsense and the Georgia boys. If it is a hoax then they have already fooled quite a number of people who have already been involved from many different parts of the Bigfoot community. Not that this can't be done, but the more people who get involved the more difficult it is to continue a hoax. Orang Sorry to persist... i see a flag in that the only website linked on the erickson site is to sylvanic. Why Sylvanic?? John Bindernagels site is also on there... but that makes sense since the forward is written by one of ericksons people....leila...
Guest jimmy simpson
The fact that there is hair all over the face there makes me think Hypertrichosis. Could it breed true in an isolated population, combined with giantism? Yes, I think so. Hypertrichosis .... very possible when you compare this to the full facial sketch on the Erickson site Edited March 7, 2011 by jimmy simpson

Guest jimmy simpson
hopefully this all leads to something very interesting but i do question the link to the proven hoaxer at Slyvanic. why? Yup.... why?

Guest jimmy simpson
I saw that Masterbarber, I hope Todd Standing has nothing to do with this project. It looks like just a link to his site, I hope it's nothing more. Chris B. Its a flag for everyone.... a bad omen as far as im concerned... I have been tentative about the Erickson Project all along... the Sylvanic link just puts a dark cloud over everything ....
Guest ChrisBFRPKY
I'm not sure of exactly why Erickson would want to be linked to Todd Standing, but I think Standing did promote the recognition of the Sasquatch species by the Canadian government awhile back. It was a failed attempt of course and probably more to do with publicity than anything else. That may be the link between them, aside from both living there, Erickson may be planning to take over where Standing failed? It's a given that Standing is a hoaxer IMO, so I can't logically see any other connection besides the species recognition angle. Personally, I'd be running from any connection with Standing. Erickson may have such an absolute collection of evidence he's unconcerned about any possible ridicule about Standing? I certainly hope he has the goods. Chris B.
