Guest Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 So how will it be announced? Will there be a nationally covered news conference and press releases handed out? That will be so exciting. I can but I won't say to hubby "I told you so" It'll be hard, but I'll try to behave magnanimosity towards him.. When will there be a date for the release of the news? How can we locate that news on the net? I will let you all know once we know But hopefully it will be big enough news that you will all hear about it without needing to look for it!
Guest Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 (edited) I will let you all know once we know But hopefully it will be big enough news that you will all hear about it without needing to look for it! I don't always keep the TV on. If it does not show up at my Yahoo main news page, I'll miss it! Yikes, I guess that it will be all over our forums. YES!! I'm so bad. I may really say:"See, I told you it existed!" He'll be irritated, but he'll survive.. Will You Guys here Know When to Look for the Report? The News Flash? Anything? At All? I'm excited in case you can't tell... I will let you all know once we know But hopefully it will be big enough news that you will all hear about it without needing to look for it! Sasky, Are you a member of the group? Do you have friends there? How do you know so much? Feel free to privately PM me here if you wish to share some knowledge. I can keep a secret, I even have been cleared for a Top Secret clearance. Long story, but still, any news would be appreciated, you know, to keep me hanging on until the Big Day.... Sasky, How do come by your knowledge? Are you a member of that group? I hope that this is not a joke, nor a scam... I'm beganing to like the idea of saying"I told you so" to hubby... I'd have to agree with Erickson, Paulides, and a few other researchers in saying they need no protection. They've done just fine on their own so far. One could also deduce that what they really mean is that if the species is found to be in the genus homo, then the act of killing one would be considered homicide. Bingo! Instant protection upon recognition. Dr. Ketchum stated on BigfootBusters Radio last Halloween that she expects the peer review to pass by late spring of this year. Her findings and Erickson's project should come out shortly after. Oh, I've got a whole BAG full of "I told you I wasn't seeing things!" that I plan to unleash on a few folks... Efrum, It is late spring! June is summer! Will you be informed about the release of the data and pictures? This is *Huge* news. It should be covered *Everywhere* as Headline News! Efram, Please PM me any and all of your knowledge of this that you don't wish to discuss openly. I'll keep it secret, PROMISE, and cross my heart... Forever! I'll buy you dinner, a wonderful dinner, or I'll cook and bring it for you, when we attend a conference together You may have NOTICED that I'm a little excited... er, LOTS excited! Barely existing until I hear from you.. Then would Genetic Drift (of our earlier homo sapien species/populations) be the morphology road outward and then a split? That would stand to reason; as we grew, and morphed so did they. Obviously barring any man-made toys, physically one-one-one they rule the earth. Just amazing. We are lucky to be in this time-frame of exciting things to come, we will know what they are. You are so correct, I've waited my whole life to know what they were, in fact, until My friends here helped, I was still fence sitting, but then with time and study, I'm a believer in the BF species. This is so amazing to have proof and be teased for believing in the big guy..now we can tease back, sweetly of course.. This project has had so much hype, and no beef yet. I'm curious to see if its another cash grab or if they have anything substantial. Sure looks like they got some good marketing ideas to get the audience "ready". I would absolutely love to see something brought forth that was truly ground breaking. Do I expect it? No. I think this wouldve been presented through the proper channels. (as in not a documentary for sale, but in the form of scientific peer review) Time will tell. They most definitely are using proper technique *and* *channels* from what I've read. At this point, I'm very hopeful, and I'm willing to give them a chance to present their evidence. My hubby is scientifically gifted, and if something screwy is presented, he will catch it. Also, They are waiting on the peer review. This type of stuff takes time. I'm very excited. I just hope they make these announcements soon! I'm afraid of dying before they discover BF. I've waited since I was 3-4 years old to see these conclusions.I'm ready now! My daddy told me that they were real.I wonder how he knew that 40 years ago? He lived in Virginia, Tucson Arizona, Georgia, and Alabama. The way he talked I believe that he had an encounter and never admitted it. Edited April 15, 2011 by masterbarber
Guest believer Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I want someone I know telling me first when it hits the national networks. Someone who who was in the " yeah right" point of view. They will question a lot then. It is similar to looking out to the heavens and realizing how small we truly are. I hope all who are involved will be seen by the lens of history as good men who did the right thing.
Guest Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Please PM me any and all of your knowledge of this that you don't wish to discuss openly. Thank you Susi! Insiders say there will be a press conference. That's about all I know so far. Everyone's at the mercy of the peer review being passed. According to Dr. Ketchum, there should be no problems. Derek and Rich from the Olympic Project have sent Dr. Ketchum very unique samples in large enough quantities to repeat the results for years to come. The science is there, and everyone involved has signed an NDA, so they can't make any statements yet. It's the calm before the storm... Bring on The Year of the Sasquatch!
Guest Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I understand where you're coming from gigantor. Really, I do. However, the people at the forefront of this huge undertaking are exceptionally knowledgeable in their respected fields and just as important, honest. Again, I'm fully aware that it's my nature for my glass to be half full, but there's a big difference in being realistically optimistic and being gullible.
Guest Sallaranda Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I warn again about: Potentially your best use of this picture. A lot of you are getting ahead of yourselves. Erickon & Ketchum's findings may not be enough to result in species recognition. On a small scale, it may instigate further research projects and an increased funding, but it may not result in the large scale acceptance of the creature. In other words, Susiq may still not be able to say "I told you so" to her hubby. Skeptics will still be skeptics. A dead body is still the only way for skeptics to stop being skeptics. What I'm realistically hoping for is that Erickson's findings will be enough to lead enough man power into the wilderness hunting for one, to the point where one is actually shot/captured.
Guest Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 The only thing I'm worried about is the peer review process. The mountain of skepticism is extremely difficult to climb. I doubt it is going to be easy to get it through and may be sent back to Ketchum for revision. So it might take awhile.
Guest Bigfoot Proof Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 (edited) I was looking at exactly what constitutes peer review... and apparently the deal is, if any word gets out before the 'academic peerr' have studied, approved and published it (they will toss it out) now I can see the tight circle keeping everything so quiet. ++++++ Also, when doing a search, I found the following which has some disturbing remarks from disturbed people. They are even questioning Melba's credentials (which a Veterinary Doctorate is the highest degree one can get in this field) I know this site and,.... well.... let me just roll my eyes BUT please have a complete read of this particular thread because there are a few things we should all be aware of. http://forums.randi.org/archive/index.php/t-130698.html When we do finally get the results these are the same people that will claim contamination and makeup wild accusations. Thanks for this important reminder and reality check Sallaranda, you are right. This is an uphill battle and nothing in science is ever definitive. The results may only open up the subject for more discussion and research.
Guest Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 (edited) I am under an NDA but when I am able I will let you all know of information about the release. Edited April 15, 2011 by Sasky
bipedalist Posted April 15, 2011 BFF Patron Posted April 15, 2011 Fair enough Sasky, and thanks for your consideration and input.
Guest Bigfoot Proof Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I am under an NDA but when I am able I will let you all know of information about the release. Thank you Sasky.... and I would like to say Kudos for maintaining the tight seal on all of this, all the participants deserve a big pat on the back... because this is not the easiest thing to keep under wraps... probably one of the most difficult!

I second that pat on the back Proof. I remember Derek from the Olympic Project saying he's not sure what's worse, waiting, or knowing and not being able to talk about it because of an NDA.
