Ancient Giant Footprint

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet.

A very interesting footprint embedded in granite pushed up to a vertical position over a period of time.

Any thoughts on the truth behind this?

Did giants once roam the Earth?

We've had this before.

The only way to get a footprint into granite is for something to walk on molten lava. Clearly that is impossible (instant death). So, either that isn't a footprint, or that rock isn't igneous.

Toejam......I tried to find some backround info on this guy and came up with virtually nothing but questionable material....disappointing, but not unexpected. Usually I'm not a debunking-maven however this screams ''Danger Will Robinson!''

I guess it could have been the giants last steps before submerging in the lava. LOL , but you'd think they would have big enough brains to not do that.

I work in the granite industry. Would it not be possible that it could have cooled off but still been soft enough that something of that magnitude would have applied enough pressure to cause an impression?

I operate a cnc machine fabricating countertops etc. The leftover muck covered in water that sits in the cutouts on the floor of the shop, it stays soft. Maybe it's a possibility?

I'm not always so quick to dismiss what seems incredibly unlikely. Isn't Sasquatch incredibly unlikely? I've had experiences that have proven they're real. Just saying.

Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction. Not saying I believe it but I'm not so quick to dismiss.

Personally I find us to be an ignorant species that think we're too **** smart to be fooled by something that just couldn't be.

Bigfoot practically in our backyards? Ha. Yeah right……Look again.

This reminds me of that creationist stuff about giants in the earth, etc. There is some creationis museum that supposedly has dinosaur footprints along with human footprints, etc.

Incredibly unlikely? That's an understatement. A human with a 4' footprint is already incredibly unlikely, but to then leave that footprint in granite stretches credibility past the snapping point.

I have absolutely no trouble dismissing this claim unless and until some geologists throw their support behind it.

The guy on the video mentioned millions of people should be going to South Africa to see this footprint. Closer inspection may determine that it is man made. I bet there is money on the maker of this footprints mind. It looks to perfect. Could it be South Africas version of The Bigfoot Stone Walker? :o

"[Tangent and debunking:

Michael Tellinger may be described as the Erich von Däniken of the twenty-first century. Tellinger has written books, with Johan Heine, that talk about how humans were created by ancient space-going 'gods' (usually named as the Annunaki of song and story) as slave labor to work in their mines. He has also done significant field work and spent a great deal of time scrambling around various ancient sites in Africa in support of his ideas, and, to be fair, has amassed an impressive array of evidence, photographs and charts of the various ruins that he has researched.

He's also floated a couple of other ideas that may be as flakey as any that ever came out of von Däniken's typewriter in his day, including the one that the stonework he has called "Adam's Calender" and "Africa's Stonehenge" is 75,000 years old and is the oldest existing man made monument on the planet. And, of course, he has done some calculations, and some fudging, to make it like up with Orion and the various solar events of the year and so on.

In spite of a tremendous collection of truly ancient cave paintings and other prehistoric sites in and around South Africa, independent confirmation of this site in a bird refuge, or his conclusions about it are somewhat lacking, we are sorry to report. In fact, there is no mention of this structure on any of the South African archeology and sites the Desk visited, a fact that has been noted by others as well. Counterwise, a known and well documented astronomical circle does exist on the African continent that does predate classical Egypt at Nabta Playa. This circle of menhir in the Nubian desert, has been reliably dated to about 7000 BC making it 'about' the same age as Jericho and Göbekli Tepe. However, Mr. Tellinger is still selling his books.

end tangent]"

Looks like it's just tafoni to me unless there's been some carving going on a la Paluxy.

Perhaps Tellinger should go back to music.

Uhh, yes, the creation museum is in northern KY. The are building a Noah's Ark theme park (think 6 flags over Noah) nearby. The state of KY just allocated 11 million dollars to improve the road going to the site.

Here is irrefutable proof that humans and dinosaurs lived alongside each other in ancient times.
