And not just because he roams the woods and cornfields in a perfect state of nudity.  Published in the Wyoming Democrat (Tunkhannock, PA) on September 25, 1872.  UPDATE 3 June 2026:  Note that two encounters occurred in Pennsylvania in 1872 - one in August near the village of Rockville (near Harrisburg), PA, and the second in September near Ruchsville (near Allentown), PA.
