Washington 1982 - Man Claims to have Hoaxed 1928 Bigfoot Tracks - Tirademan!

This looks like an AP or UPI story as I found this clipping in the Carroll County (MD) Times, published on April 14, 1982. The "Victim of Rooftop Murders" does not relate to this picture but I leave such snippets in because it demonstrates that newspapers were placing Wild Man/Bigfoot/Sasquatch stories with the other serious news stories.

 

 

While searching the Forums for other stuff, I found one of Tirademan's original clippings.  Surprisingly, Mullens not only claimed to have faked footprints, he claimed to have faked the Ape Canyon attack.

UPDATE: I found what appears to be the original newspaper article, first published in The Vancouver (WA) Columbian on April 11, 1982.  Rather having two entries for the same matter, I'm including it here.
