Once again, found things I wasn't looking for and once again, I don't know if this is actually the the article which Tirademan found.  As a bonus, it has the story of a bus driver who saw Bigfoot cross the road in 1963.  Published in the Victoria (British Columbia) Times Colonist on October 6, 1967.
