Pennsylvania 1920/12/20 - The Snyder County Gorilla Attacks Motorists!

The first article was published in The Sentinel, of Carlisle (PA) on December 20, 1920.  The second article - which could be a retelling of the first account with some literary license taken - was published in the Lewisburg (PA) Journal on December 24, 1920.  Both attacks (if there were two separate attacks) occurred in Snyder County.
