Illinois 1887/08/09 - Illinoisians Capture a Wild Man - Tirademan!

Published in the Junction City (KS) Daily Union on August 9, 1887.  Baseball scores thrown in for free because who doesn't love baseball?  This possible encounter was a full three years earlier than the prior encounters found in Illinois by either myself or Tirademan and over 100 miles away from the location of either.

 

UPDATE 15 Sept. 2026: Tirademan's archives contained a different article about this incident; however, it was labelled as a Canadian case.
