Backdoc Posted Friday at 06:51 PM Posted Friday at 06:51 PM (edited) Where is the Hype? I understand you don't show too much which can be quickly ripped off by the public and the internet. I get it. These guys seem to be using a Blair Witch Project formula trying to build interest on the internet vs maybe more traditional venues. Bigfoot: Here is a promo for the movie Mysterious Monsters (Peter Graves) from 1975. They build the hype without showing too much. They don't even show a stills or video clips of the PGF saving those for people who purchased a ticket. (It's worth a watch for old times' sake. As a kid I can't forget the babysitter on the couch and Bigfoot's arm through the window which never really even happened). The Trial Run movie: I have to believe if this was all it is supposed to be Discover Channel or whatever would buy the film. Maybe these guys just feel they can market it in some other way and cash in easier. I have to wonder in these times if there is much of a way to cash in. For instance, you used to have to actually purchase the magazine to see the Playmate of the Month. Yet as an old guy I don't know all these modern ways theese guys can cash in but I am sure there are many. As for this Trial Run Smoking gun film.... Enough talk let's see it. jameskrav Posted Friday at 08:07 PM Posted Friday at 08:07 PM The type was the film festival, and then they negotiate with someone like Netflix or Youtube TV or some other streamer. And they sell it and we wait (till October apparently)

Trogluddite Posted Saturday at 06:29 PM Posted Saturday at 06:29 PM Since this also seems to be a current thread where the Morris suit is being discussed, I just put up two posts in the Patterson-Gimlin Film reference section. Basically, they go through Chapter 24 of Greg Long's book The Making of Bigfoot (so others don't have to suffer) and breaks out every specific item of information that Philip Morris stated about his suit. Some of those points don't necessarily shed any light on the issue when taken individually; others - to my mind - make it clear that Patty is not a person in a suit. No proponent of the PG film should jump to the conclusion that Philip Morris is lying. He could just be completely wrong. Interestingly, he could also be write on the details of Roger ordering a suit, but he could be wrong about when that happened. For example, if Roger and Al DeAtley were trying to recreate the P-G film for use in a future project, part of Mr. Morris's recollections could be correct. 1
