Years later, the experience still stands as one of the most unsettling moments of his life.


Then travel back to Oregon in 1989, where two teenage backpackers stopped for the night at a quiet campground north of Crater Lake. Heavy bipedal footsteps entered their campsite, an unseen presence paused only feet away, and multiple eerie howls sent them racing into the night.
