Guest Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Hello BFF'ers! First post on this new board. I am here looking for people in the central california area who have good research equipment (Audio recorders, Night Vision Cameras, FLIR and 360 Degrees lenses. Last year my father found something amazing in the woods. I do not wish to go into too much detail for no reason but lets say it is better than anything but a dead squatch. I do not have the money to go and buy the needed gear to get this group on film or better? I also do not want to hook up with people with the gear but no objectivity or sensitivity to my sites. People like I met from the BFRO years previous. There is also a local expert working for the forest service up here who has been on many shows discussing BF. She is also not my kind of person. That being said I am looking for someone who is able bodied and able to hike several miles in high sierra terrain. Also important is the ability to be tactical while moving to these sites. These creatures are highly sensitive to invaders in their territory. The will not stay put while loud and slow moving humans try to get them in camera range. They are perennially visiting these sites me and my father have found. His discovery led to collecting of LARGE amounts of physical evidence. We have hundreds of hairs (with root ball) scat by the 10's of pounds and footprint galore. Having followed this subject for most of my adult life I am most definitely jaded to most of the other researchers and their lack of scientific method and woodsmanship. How many times has something been found and people run out with claims and evidence that produces nothing? I have photographic evidence of my fathers discovery and bags of physical evidence untested and unseen by any credentialed authority. It was supposed to be something me and my father were to work on together. He is now moving to Oregon and I am still in central California. I am not looking for fame. I am a former Marine of 8 years and not under any illusions of fame or money in this. I want to settle this **** argument. My personal experiences as well as those of my father and his brother are proof enough for me. There is I believe proof enough for the rest of the world if it is handled right and with due diligence. Handled right is something I hope to have you help me with. This groups knowledge of the subject would aid considerably in regards to helping find such a person(s). Not to mention processing of what we have already collected. I have no contacts in the bigfoot resarch world. Not looking to make any really. Regards to equipment and its use as well as pertinent observations by members of this board are my interest. Guide me through this please? Where do I start to get this going? Thanks in advance David Columbia CA
Guest Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Welcome aboard, I would go to the BFRO they have the most equipment and some good people. I know there's some arrogance... But you will get what you need from the biggest out there. I hope to see you on Finding Bigfoot ; ) I have a plan to get some equipment but I can't use them because of some copyright issues. I have been trying to get some people together for help but it's hard. I have thought of a way in which I can prove Bigfoot as real.
Guest BFSleuth Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Welcome aboard, Woodswalker! I sent you a Personal Message (PM). Click on the envelope icon at the top of the page to access it.
Guest TexasTracker Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 I would say the BFRO (my organization) has plenty of fine folks that can help you out... The Olympic Project also has some excellent folks.... many good people out there... sorry you ran into some less desirable ones up front.. CG
Guest Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Really just looking for the equipment and a good operator. Is that too unrealistic? Small and fast gets it all done without the big hoopla. Thank you for the input. It is appreciated.
Guest Thepattywagon Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 If you have "bags of physical evidence", why not just save some time and get it tested? Oh, and welcome to the BFF.
Guest OntarioSquatch Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 (edited) I'm not much of a BFRO fan either. They continue to use their unsuccessful approaches! Best of luck with your quest Woodswalker. Edited September 7, 2012 by OntarioSquatch
Guest Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 The physical evidence is of the variety that is expensive to test and apparently far too common these days. If someone is willing to accept it for testing without making me pay then great! Looking for that kind of connection.
Guest Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Welcome Woodswalker. Does that mean that BF uses pinecones as toilet tissue? Just curious, but are those sticks in a square to mark the area the poop is in?
Guest Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 (edited) No Idea? As we found it. Possibly uncovered by another animal? Bears are in the area too. Picture is bear poop FYI. Edited September 7, 2012 by Woodswalker
Guest Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 No bears where I live and all I can say is wow. I know bears eat a lot of berries and things and just eat and eat. Cool pictures. Thanks
beerhunter Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Welcome aboard Woodswalker, there are good and bad folks in every organization. Best of luck, and interesting post.
Guest Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 I second Texas Tracker on the guys of the Olympic project, i think Derek Randles is your man.
Guest Fanofsquatch Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 By reading his post, I don't think he wants to get involved with any "organization" or anyone of bigfoot fame. On the other hand going out in the woods alone with someone from the internet is pretty scary in itself so you see why you are not getting many offers. If you have something that can blow the lid off of it then I suggest you be patient and give us some time to feel you out, and you do the same. Don't get angry at hard questions or take offense to statements of disbeleif of your claims. If you can stand up to some scrutiny then you will have a better chance of getting real, trustworthy help. Start by offering up some details, don't have to give anything away but general info, like we found a cave and they frequent it twice a month. Then we can get a feel for what you might have. If you say you found a portal where the bigfoot cookie factory is then we will get a different feel for what you have. There are jerks every where, even here. There are also some very smart people on this board that may be able to offer you some real help so stick around and help us help you.
