I still don't recommend getting too confident about these recordings. When the speed is adjusted to the normal frequency of a coyote or wolf call the length of the call also falls in line with that known (3 to 4 seconds). Additionally, when you look at the spectrogram of the canidvoices file (posted earlier)below, you'll see some commonality in the resonance shift from the first formant to the second at the end of the calls. The MinnHowl is the fourth call from the left. It is not uncommon to see the second formant weaker than the first and third. This is what changes our perception of the vowel in a vocalization and is very involved in the perception of speech.

So you are vouching for the provenance this recording now? You don't think someone could be testing us here? We just had a big debacle over some tracks, very clever. I don't want to accuse people but my skepticals aren't coming off on this one.
