Killing Bigfoot

Had to plus one you on that. I heard a great quote the other day.

"Some people hunt their entire lives and never realize that it's not the animal we are after."

If I had to put a percentage on it I would say the "kill" makes up about 1% or less of the time I spend in the field with my bow.

I like the "thrill of the kill" and I'm not afraid to say it. It's heart pumping, adrenaline inducing and life affirming. There is also a gratifying feeling of knowing there will be meat in the freezer for awhile. With that said, I enjoy the pursuit and just the experience of soaking up the wilderness around me as well.........it IS home to me. And in my adult life of responsibility and bills and taxes and all the rest of the distraction of life? I find more and more I just want to return to my carefree days as a youth of exploring and hunting and fishing the mountains that I love.
