Guest thermalman Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I actually don't buy that. A lot of ifs there, if the earth was flat and it was real dark, probably no humidity at all You don't have to OHZ. It's scientific findings, not mine.
Guest Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 MM seems to have so much knowledge he can't contain it all and some of it just leaks out every once in a while. Actually, I'm glad I'm not the only one waving the bs flag on that one. Facts are based on evidence of which MM seemingly has very little. I think that show is doing more harm than good. If his bush waking accomplishes anything, IMHO it drives animals out of bedding or feeding areas resulting in unnecessary stress, particularly in winter months.

hiflier Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Hello Enkidu, ...If his bush waking accomplishes anything, IMHO it drives animals out of bedding or feeding areas resulting in unnecessary stress, particularly in winter months. ^^ I agree with this wise statement. Also, great name there Enkidu. May be not to far off the mark if Humans play their cards right, eh?

Well, it is worth asking someone who thinks he's doing big-time good what the pursuit of Juicy Television might be doing to the fauna in the locales selected for the Juicy Television. hiflier Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Hello DWA, I'm no better. How many creatures have been displaced by energy companies so that I can have gas in my vehicle? We need to put things in perspective a bit. I mean it is what it is and the subject of Sasquatch is no different. We all make choices when we want something to pay off for us or our lifestyles. One thing that does bother me about the MM thing though, there's no end in sight. NAWAC has an end- one way or another- type specimen. MM?.................Yeah there's a goal there too- to NOT end it.
Guest DWA Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 ^^^And trudat too. Painful to say that by being alive we're part of the problem; but here in 2014 it's the case, at least a little, for each of us.
hiflier Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Hello DWA, A gracious reply, thanks for getting it.
southernyahoo Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Bioluminescence would likely evolve in total darkness like the ocean floor or in deep caves. Also, very light colored skin and hair would go with it IMO. There are some bigfoot reports that contain those things, but I've not heard of the blinking and signaling part of eyeglow reports.
Trogluddite Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I'm watching the show on Animal Planet, and Moneymaker is claiming that Bigfoot has bioluminescent eyes, and I'm like... what?? .... I know what I'm thinking. I'm thinking of Bigfoot, on a motorcycle, jumping a shark. Couldn't find an image of that on the Internet, tho.... ^*rolls eyes* Even in the darkest of dark, there is still light. If their eyes appear glowing or shining, my bet is it's reflection of whatever light, however low, that is present. Actually, as it was described by the witness, I thought of cat-eye tape, which used to be sewn to the back of fatigue caps and on helmet bands. During the day, it absorbs light. At night, it gives of a soft greenish glow that's generally visible within 10 feet or so. Useful if you're trying to stay with a bunch of people and move w/out light. Moneymaker makes a lot of wild leaps, but this one really takes the cake.... Finally, in science "I don't know" is a correct and acceptable answer so how does he come to that conclusion instead of simply admitting he doesn't know? To be fair, I think the line in the Baby Bigfoot episode - "even the fact that you didn't see Bigfoot is proof that you encountered a Bigfoot." (OWTTE) - takes the cake more than this one. Although, this gets bonus points for pronouncing it bi-o-loom-e-neesence (long e). Is there a correlation between where Finding Bigfoot is filming and where the BFRO is holding upcoming excursions/expeditions/etc.?
Guest Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 That was one was great too... xD say what you want about Moneymaker, he's very quotable, he's got a lot of gems... not in the good way though...
TD-40 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Biolumenscence is a chemical reaction that produces and emits light, found primarily in marine vertebrates and invertebrates that dwell in darkness. Fireflies also have it. If bigfoot has this capability, then at one point bigfoot may have dwelled largely in caves and would have needed some illumination. Being a higher intelligence creature comes with certain perks. Ours is the ability to reason and be civil, theirs is the ability to survive.
Guest Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 That brown stuff isn't knowledge, just for your information. I didn't specify from where Sure we all can assume some responsibility for wanting heat in our homes and food on our tables but humans also build ponds and lakes, put out forest fires, leave food crops in fields, keep tasty animals like chickens and pigs where they can easily be picked up and carried off (sort of like BF drive thru), leave structures (barns, camps, old buildings) around for shelter; all in all, BF could actually find some benefit from living near human habitation. Other mammals do, so why not BF, who is smarter and more capable of taking advantage of the opportunity. Maybe this is why we have an entire thread on habituation. But back to MM, or better MMm, he's really starting to make the rest of us look more kooky than we need to, constantly dropping logic bombs and accepting even a lack of evidence as evidence. Sounds more like a conspiracy nut than professional researcher.

I hang out a lot on a certain skeptic's forum and even though they think belief in Bigfoot is deluded at worst, they understand that Moneymaker is just a caricature of your typical Bigfooter.
