Has Bigfoot Science Stalled?

Zen mind is the same as God consciousness.

So, in theory, we all have it.

In theory, however, does not satisfy the nutritional requirements of the bulldog.  It is application that tells the tale; and the true scientist actually applies it, to everything.  I can tell with the briefest synopsis of what a person thinks about this topic whether it is being applied...or not.

Call it what you want. I call it curiosity and the search for knowledge.

Which is what science not only is *about* but *is.*  The body of facts, actually, is but a by-product.  Which is mistaken, by the unschooled, for the thing itself.

Even if bigfoot science stalls in the USA, will other countries such as Russia, China, or Canada reach ultimate proof first. Why?

Do they have more bigfoots?

Is their government funding research such as with paid field workers or DNA testing.

Does the public take BF seriously.

A Bigfoot only exists on this continent would be my assertion (true or not).

Other animals have a high likely hood of being significantly different unless you think Almasty is Bigfoot.

It seems there are 2 types of yeti but are they truly similar to a Bigfoot; if so, which one and why?

It seems that the Yowie would be most similar. (but why would that be?)

Ironically there is not much to compare as regards photographs or other evidence (for whatever reasons)

THE SCIENTISTS:

JANE GOODALL A world-famous primate researcher and author, she revealed, in studies of chimpanzees in Tanzania’s Gombe National Park, surprising behaviors in humanity’s closest living relative. Goodall has won numerous international awards for her contributions to conservation, anthropology and animal welfare. Currently affiliated with Cornell University, she serves as the National Geographic Society’s explorer-in-residence.

GEORGE SCHALLER

International science director for the Wildlife Conservation Society. His pioneering field studies of mountain gorillas set the research standard later adopted by Goodall and gorilla researcher Dian Fosse. Schaller’s 1963 book, “The Year of the Gorilla,†debunked popular perceptions of the great ape and reintroduced “King Kong†as a shy, social vegetarian.

Schaller’s studies of tigers, lions, snow leopards and pandas also advanced the knowledge of those endangered mammals.

In 1973, he won the National Book Award for “The Serengeti Lion: A Study of Predator-Prey Relations,†and in 1980 was awarded the World Wildlife Fund Gold Medal for his contributions to the understanding and conservation of endangered species.During the past decade, he has focused on the little-known wildlife of Mongolia, Laos and the Tibetan Plateau.

RUSSELL MITTERMEIER

A trained primatologist, herpetologist and biologicalanthropologist, he has discovered five new species of monkey, including two last year. Mittermeier has conducted fieldwork in more than 20 countries around the tropical world, with special emphasis on Brazil, Guyana and Madagascar.

Since 1989, Mittermeier has served as president of Conservation International, which has become one of the most aggressive and effective conservation organizations in the world during the last decade. His publications include 10 books and more than 300 scientific papers and popular articles.

DARIS SWINDLER

Emeritus professor of anthropology at the University of Washington, Swindler is a leading expert on living and fossil primate teeth and one of the top primate anatomists in general. His book, “An Atlas of Primate Gross Anatomy,†has become a standard reference in the field. A forensic anthropologist, Swindler worked on the Ted Bundy and Green River murder cases along with hundreds of others.

ESTEBAN SARMIENTO

A functional anatomist affiliated with the American Museum of Natural History, Sarmiento focuses on the skeletons of hominids. In 2001, he participated with George Schaller in a search forCongo’s Bili ape, a possible species super-chimp reported by natives but unknown to Western science. Sarmiento has also studied the Cross River gorilla, a critically endangered subspecies on the Nigeria-Cameroon border whose population is thought to be numbered in the hundreds. He has taught in the U.S., South Africa and Uganda.

There are some good primatologist that lean towards bigfoot, so why don't they get on board and help out with the science?

Seems like they would like to make a name for themselves by living in a blind and getting good video.

Are they afraid of the ridicule that some BF researchers are bashed with?

Would it help if 'bigfoot researchers' contacted primatologist and asked them to join the search?

The aerial photo below shows timber cutting on private land east of Roseburg, Oregon. After cutting trees will be planted then sprayed with weed killers. Seems like this would effect all animal populations including bigfoot.

Well so far they are all batting zero and in China and Russia there is government support for the search.  Funny thing about that we cry blame of  no government support for the search going nowhere here but it's equally as nowhere in the countries who do fund it or have funded it.  Doesn't that tell you there is something horribly wrong with the picture?

There are numerous species in dire need of conservation, and require study and observation. Known species.

China takes the Yeren seriously enough that they have established a large game preserve for it.   Amazingly they consider sighting reports from their citizens,  and footprints evidence.    Probably lying or hoaxing the government is frowned on so the government takes such reports seriously.   So I think it far more likely the Yeren will be proven to exist by Chinese science before BF ever is here.  China has a long head start on the process.   Of course, existence of the Yeren has little to do with the existence of BF on this continent or any other.

^When you know for sure how hoaxing Yeren is dealt with in China lets us know.  Until then speculation you're waving.

I'm not sure how consistent government-funded contact with a consistently-described biological entity is "going nowhere."  It's the public attitude toward consistent evidence, available to the public for free (or the cost of an Internet connection, library card or a few carefully-chosen books) that is what's horribly wrong with the picture.

I can excuse this attitude when it is taken by people who have no interest in the topic, spend no time on it, and simply swallow what they've been fed by people they erroneously believe to be reliable.  I can't accept, condone or understand it from anyone posting here.  If they spent the time the informed have spent reading up and applying intellect and scientific method, rather than concocting word salad with that precious time, they'd understand what's up.  But...thus is it ever at the frontiers of science.

Here is an article on the Chinese Yeren. Their government and university officials are more open minded.

In North America, we know him as Sasquatch or Bigfoot. In China, he is called Yeren, or Wildman. Dozens of scientists from high-level institutions in China have studied Yeren evidence. In 1980, more than 100 investigators were even sent on an expedition into the heart of “Yeren territory.†Shennongjia nature reserve covers some 1,900 square miles (3,000 square kilometers) in a remote corner of Hubei Province. It is a rugged area with mountains as high as 10,000 feet and deep valleys. It is where the vast majority of Yeren sightings have been reported.

The most influential sighting occurred on May 14, 1976, when a vehicle carrying six regime officials purportedly encountered a Yeren near a village between Fangxian County and Shennongjia. This sighting sparked the interest that fueled the 1980 expedition. -

Have you ever lived out of New York state?      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_rights_in_China   Now tell me again how likely Chinese people are to lie to their government?
