bipedalist Posted June 26, 2012 BFF Patron Posted June 26, 2012 Seems the High Park fire is only 5% contained, gonna be a long hot, smokey summer it sounds like out there.
VAfooter Posted June 27, 2012 Admin Posted June 27, 2012 I think they move out ahead of the fire and do things they normally do not do. The potential for more sightings are there. However, people in the area affected have other things on their minds and BF is the last thing they are thinking about. They are not going to see one, unless it runs out in the middle of the road in front of them. And researchers are prevented from flocking into the area because of the safety factor. So while the potential is there, the reality is that a the probablity does not really increase or possibly even decreases in the area of the fire.
bipedalist Posted June 30, 2012 BFF Patron Posted June 30, 2012 http://www.bigfootencounters.com/sbs/caribou.html This one might go good in the Conspiracy thread too according to the "code of wildland firefighters".
Guest TexasTracker Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Guys.... We don't have anything major burning here in Texas..... Last year we had some out west of the Dallas-Ft Worth area... I'd give a ruff estimate that about 90-95% of the BF reports come from east Texas and the piney woods, say within 100 miles of out eastern border. So, when you say you "can't imagine where a BF would hide from a fire in Texas, I don't understand what you're saying?? Sorry, see the thread was started last year !!!
VAfooter Posted July 1, 2012 Admin Posted July 1, 2012 Got fires here in VA as well, but nothing like the ones out west. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/jun/28/smoke-va-wildfires-drifts-district/
