Helgarde
Hello, everyone. I just joined; I found the forum through a google search on Bigfoot Mother and Child sightings--I was directed to the Kathy Moskowitz article: Mayak datat: An Archaeological Viewpoint of the Hairy Man Pictographs. Which is a great article, btw. Anyway, I have been researching paranormal subjects for over 40 years--primarily through books, but also through personal experience, and just living life. John Keel would have termed me an "experiencer," meaning that multiple weird things occur around and to me, with sightings, PK activity, weird noises, strange dreams, etc. I have only one experience I would term a "Bigfoot" experience and it wasn't a sighting, but instead a "hearing." Howls and trees being shaken and crashes and footsteps out in our woods about 18 years ago. It was pretty scary, about 60 feet from our house. Terrified our dogs. I'm hoping mostly to listen and learn--been reading about BF/Sasquatch/Yeti for years. I'm also an artist, chef, and love to hang out in the woods. Oh, and I'm a podcaster. 6 Degrees of John Keel. 1 Link to comment
Wolfjewel
Welcome, Helgarde. You have some interesting stories to tell, that’s for sure. Hope you will feel ready to share a lot of them. What part of the country you live in, further description of your BF experience, etc. Our Sightings section has lots of “class B” experiences (as the BFRO calls them) so we are used to taking reports of sounds like crashing in the woods seriously. OGRedd
Hello all. Been lurking on these forums for years and finally decided I needed to join in on the discussion. Had an encounter around 30 years ago when I was 14, I locked it away for awhile so people wouldn't think I was crazy...but as many of you know with age comes wisdom, of not caring what others think! Uwharriesquatch
Hello fellow Bigfoot hunters, seekers, enthusiasts, skeptics, believers, etc. I was born in 1967, a banner year in “Sasquatch history.” The year of the Patterson-Gimlin film. I was raised on The Legend of Boggy Creek, In Search Of, Mysterious Monsters, Sasquatch, etc. I came of age in the Sasquatch mania of the 70s. One of John Greene’s books could be found in my Middle School library. I kept it perpetually checked out. I make frequent trips to the Blue Ridge with my wife, and my eyes never stray from the woods around us, just hoping . . . I hope to learn a lot here and maybe make a friend or two or three. 1 Link to comment

Hoekler73
Greetings, I have had a general interest in cryptozoology since childhood, and a special interest in Sasquatch/ similar creatures. I had a sighting around 1987 on my grandfather's property of a hairy bipedal creature during the early evening, about one hour before sunset. The experience left me with many questions, but few answers. I am an avid hiker and backpacker. I grew up hunting and fishing. I love the outdoors, nature, and animals. I hold a scientific degree, with a focus in emergency disaster management. I am a scientific minded individual, and utilize critical thinking whenever possible. That's said, I have seen and experienced a few things that cannot be easily explained by mainstream science. 1 Link to comment
