I'm in the UK and have been interested in anything to do with cryptids for as long as I can remember.  I'd love to find something in the UK but I don't know if that's possible or not.

Hello - I've been interested in this subject since the Patterson-Gimlin film came out in 1967.

 

While I find the evidence and accounts of the creature itself fascinating, what's even more interesting is the cultural authority society grants to "skeptics" - many of whom have zero expertise in zoology, anatomy, wildlife or ape behavior, forensics, photography, videography, you name it  -  and the extent to which their pronouncements taint all discussions and discredit any evidence.

Hi from New York. When I was a kid an old friend of my dad's stopped by our house and gave me a book of Native legends from the Pacific Northwest. He was from there and mentioned that he was a bigfoot hunter. I had never heard of bigfoot before this and didn't know what he meant, so I didn't ask him about it and never saw him again, but to this day I wonder whether he was serious or just joking. I've spent lots of time in the woods, hiked the whole Appalachian Trail, camp and backpack a lot, and have never seen or heard any evidence of bigfoot, but I believe people who say they have encountered them.
